    Abstract: An autonomous vehicle is provided herein. During operation, a person (e.g., a public-safety officer) will be assigned a task or mission that is identified by an identifier (e.g., an incident identifier, public-safety incident identifier, or an incident type). The incident identifier will be provided to the autonomous vehicle, and the autonomous vehicle will choose to “follow” the officer or not based on the incident identifier. Because the autonomous vehicle described above will only “follow” the officer for certain incident types, the officer will be able to perform many of their tasks without the annoyance of an automobile following them.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for employing a token based arbiter. The apparatus includes a priority provider (26) comprising a processor for calculating an arbiter metric and an identity provider (18) having a processor for embedding the metric into a secured token. The apparatus also comprises memory coupled to the processor having one or more instructions executable at the processor. The processor is operable when executing the instructions to: collect authorization attributes (A) from one or more users seeking use of a resource (20) associated with a service provider; determine the level of priority to the one or more users based on prescribed policy of the priority provider; assign at least one arbiter metric (22, 32) to a secured token (T) for each of the one or more users based on the level of priority identified by the priority provider.

    Abstract: A toggle-type switch for a portable communications device includes a circuit board to be positioned within a cavity of a portable communications device. In one instance, the circuit board includes a first flank, a second flank disposed opposite the first flank, and a central rib disposed between the first and the second flanks. The circuit board has a non-planar shape, such that the first flank and the second flank are each offset relative to the central rib. The toggle-type switch includes a first electrical contact element coupled to the first flank, a second electrical contact element coupled to the second flank, and a projecting lever located above the central rib and between the first flank and the second flank. The projecting lever has a first leg to engage the first electrical contact element and a second leg to engage the second electrical contact element.
