摘要: Service mode data is stored in a television chassis or set by duplicating all the data that is accessible by service mode, i.e. by storing the same data twice, in two separate areas of a single memory device or two separate memory devices. A “working memory” is always accessible by the chassis. A “reserved memory” is normally not accessible by the chassis. At the factory, the same service mode data is input to both the working memory and the reserved memory. The chassis microprocessor would normally only access the working memory. If any data in the working memory is changed (intentionally or not), the original factory data can be recovered from the reserved memory and copied to the working memory by executing a specific access operation.

摘要: A metal melt sampling device comprises a support tube; and a sampling unit of refractory material mounted in the support tube. The sampling unit includes first and second portions the second portion being integral with the first portion and defining with a pair of metal plates the walls of a main sample cavity. At least one of the first and second portions is a push fit in the support tube. An inlet passage is provided to enable metal melt to pass in use from a leading end of a unit to the main sample cavity.

摘要: A drain pipe obstruction clearing tool comprising an exterior cylinder having a plunger like head, a closed upper end with an aperture therein sliding and sealing engagement with a reciprocating handle shaft. The plunger face has a central aperture therein. Slidable through the central aperture of the plunger is a flexible hose-like piece that is normally retained within the outer cylinder in the stored condition. In the operative condition it extends its full length outwardly through the aperture in the plunger and is adapted to snake its way through the drain passage to the stoppage.

摘要: The present invention relates to a system and methodology for facilitating managing product life cycle. A component that determines relevance of components to a product; an analyzing component that determines, infers or predicts obsolescence, level of risk to EOL of a subset of the components. A substitution component that identifies replacement components and suppliers for the subset of components. A cost analysis component that determines material/components cost savings, and redesign cost implementation and/or redesign cost avoidance.
