摘要： The present invention has an object to provide an object lens actuator that reduces the amplitude of vibration of an object lens related to a torsional vibration of a lens holder and to enable a disc drive using the same to record information on a disc at high speeds. The above object has been achieved by placing the thickest one of the four walls, which are in an envelope of two opening portions provided in the lens holder and which are perpendicular to a flat plate between the two opening portions, in a position which is opposite to the object lens with respect to the center line between a first support member and a second support member which resiliently support the lens holder therebetween and which is opposite to the object lens with respect to the flat plate.

摘要： The present invention provides an object lens actuator, an optical pickup, and an optical disk drive, which can increase the size of the object lens actuator driving a lens holder in the tangential tilt direction, and drive and control the lens holder with a small amount of drive current.An object lens actuator comprising a lens holder having an object lens and a first coil; a first magnet fixed to a yoke; plural elastic support parts for supporting said lens holder with a first fulcrum; a moving part for supporting said elastic support parts with a second fulcrum different from said first fulcrum, and a fixed part having a moving mechanism for moving said moving part, wherein said first coil and said first magnet constitute a first magnetic circuit, said first magnetic circuit makes said lens holder movable in a focusing direction, a tracking direction and a radial tilt direction of an optical disk for read/write, and said moving mechanism makes said moving part movable.

摘要： An objective lens actuator 25, for driving an objective lens 1 for focusing lights upon a recoding surface of an optical disc, comprises a moving part 2, which comprises the objective lens 1 and a coil; a magnet, which is fixed on a yoke and drives the moving part 2; a plural number of elastic support parts, each of which supports the moving part 2 at an end thereof; a first fixing portion 5a and a second fixing portion 5b, which fix other ends of the plural number of elastic support parts 4 and are disposed opposite to each other in a focus direction; and a moving mechanism 6, which is provided on the first and second fixing portion 5a and 5b, so that the first and second fixing portions 5a and 5b can move in the focus direction, relatively, and thereby providing the objective lens actuator 25 enabling to reduce the dynamic relative tilt between the optical disc and the objective lens 1 (i.e., reducing the tilt of the objective lens 1 in the tangential direction when operating), as well as, an optical pickup and an optical disc drive.

摘要： In an optical pickup equipped with a semiconductor laser, electro-optical components such as a lens, and an objective lens drive device, the objective lens drive device includes objective lenses, a holder holding the objective lenses, a focusing coil, and tracking coils. The focusing coil is wound in parallel to the optical surface of the objective lens, and formed in a parallelogram shape having inclined portions provided near the tracking coils. The two tracking coils are placed on diagonal portions of the lens holder.

摘要： The present invention provides an object lens actuator in which a tilt of an object lens due to a change of an ambient temperature is inhibited even when a metal member is attached to a resin based securing part. It is desirable to improve quality of writing and playing in a disc drive using the object lens actuator. This is achieved by coupling a metal member having a flat portion and bent portions to a securing part near top ends of the bent portions. The flat portion has a normal in the focusing direction. The bent portions extend in the focusing direction from the respective ends of the flat portion in the tracking direction. The securing part has an opening therethrough in the focusing direction, and in the opening, the metal member and the securing part may be coupled between each outermost two support members in the focusing direction.
