    摘要: The present invention provides an object lens actuator in which a tilt of an object lens due to a change of an ambient temperature is inhibited even when a metal member is attached to a resin based securing part. It is desirable to improve quality of writing and playing in a disc drive using the object lens actuator. This is achieved by coupling a metal member having a flat portion and bent portions to a securing part near top ends of the bent portions. The flat portion has a normal in the focusing direction. The bent portions extend in the focusing direction from the respective ends of the flat portion in the tracking direction. The securing part has an opening therethrough in the focusing direction, and in the opening, the metal member and the securing part may be coupled between each outermost two support members in the focusing direction.

    摘要: An object lens actuator can improve workability and operate with high reliability by prevention of damage to the object lens actuator and a disc and sticking of a moving part caused by an excessive movement of the moving part. In a disc drive employing the object lens actuation, stable writing/reading operation is implemented by always keeping a focal point of an object lens at a predetermined track of a recording surface of the disc even when being under the action of external perturbations such as a vertical deviation or a radial deviation of the disc, resulting in improved reliability. A solder-flux adhesion prevention gadget is provided between a substrate and a stopper receiving face, which may include a stepped stage, a partition protruding from the surface of the lens holder, or alternatively a combination of them arranged in order in the range.

    摘要: The present invention has an object to provide an object lens actuator that reduces the amplitude of vibration of an object lens related to a torsional vibration of a lens holder and to enable a disc drive using the same to record information on a disc at high speeds. The above object has been achieved by placing the thickest one of the four walls, which are in an envelope of two opening portions provided in the lens holder and which are perpendicular to a flat plate between the two opening portions, in a position which is opposite to the object lens with respect to the center line between a first support member and a second support member which resiliently support the lens holder therebetween and which is opposite to the object lens with respect to the flat plate.

    摘要: To improve the reliability to an environmental temperature change of an optical pickup, an optical pickup 7 has a semiconductor laser 711 for generating a laser beam. An objective lens drive leads the laser beam to a predetermined position of a disk. The semiconductor laser and objective lens drive are mounted on a pickup hosing 70. The objective lens drive has a movable portion 74 and the movable portion has an objective lens 716 for condensing the laser beam on the recording face of the disk. A fixed portion 72 holds the movable portion through a support member. The fixed portion has a magnetic yoke 75. An extended portion formed by extending a part of the yoke to the fixed portion side and the upside 72b of a cutout formed at the intermediate portion of the fixed portion in the tracking direction are adhered and fixed.

    摘要: In a disc driving apparatus, wherein a laser diode and a laser driver circuit board are mounted on a pickup housing in thermal contact therewith and are disposed adjacent to each other, a heat separation member is provided between the laser diode and the laser driver circuit board for effecting thermal separation therebetween, thereby reducing the thermal interference between the heat-generating elements that are adjacent to each other in the optical pickup. This makes it possible to protect the heat-generating elements from being deteriorated, leading to a reduction in the lifetime thereof, as well as, to improve the reliability thereof.
