摘要： In an object lens actuator, stiffness of a lens holder is improved and the higher order resonance frequency is sufficiently increased. The stiffness of the lens holder is improved by providing a flat plate perpendicular to the focusing direction between the side wall of a lens holding part and the outer sidewall along the tracking direction at approximately the middle of both ends of the lens holder along the focusing direction.

摘要： An optical pickup includes an object lens; a moving part including the object lens and coils; rod-shaped support members disposed in a focusing direction, one end of each of the support members being attached to side surfaces of the moving part in a tracking direction; a fixing part for fixing the other end of each of the support members; a yoke including magnets; and gel holding parts, each of the gel holding parts including walls on both sides of the support members in the tracking direction, and the support members being disposed on both sides of the moving part in the tracking direction. Each of the gel holding parts includes an opening at one end on an optical disc side in the focusing direction and includes a cutout in the wall farther from the object lens in the tracking direction, the cutout extending from an edge of the opening.

摘要： An aspect of the invention provides an optical pickup in which an optical axis is not displaced even if ambient temperature is changed. The optical pickup of the invention has an optical unit and an optical pickup case. The optical unit has a lens member having an optical axis, and the optical axis of the lens member is offset to one side from the center of the optical unit. The optical pickup case holds the optical unit from both sides. A thermal expansion amount of the optical unit is absorbed by compression amounts of a first adhesive and a second adhesive such that the optical axis of the lens member is not displaced when the optical unit is thermal expanded.

摘要： This invention aims at reducing a rolling moment generated in coils mounted to lens holder side face without losing drive forces in a focusing direction and tracking direction in an objective lens drive of an optical pickup device. By shifting a coil line portion near the objective lens of two coil line portions substantially parallel to the tracking direction of the first coil in a direction departing from a lens optical axis, increase and decrease in drive forces generated in right and left first coils when the lens holder is moved in the tracking direction cancel each other so as to eliminate imbalance between the right and left drive forces.

摘要： The invention can obtain an excellent linear property in a focusing direction and a tracking direction and can obtain a stable operation, in an objective lens driving means of an optical pickup. In an optical pickup reading and writing an information with respect to an optical disc by using an objective lens, a movable portion mounting the objective lens thereon is supported by a support member constituted by a pair of flexible printed circuit boards respectively curved in opposite directions in a parallel direction to an optical axis of the objective lens so as to be movable with respect to a fixed portion, in both side surfaces of the movable portion facing with holding the objective lens therebetween.

摘要： An objective lens actuator 25, for driving an objective lens 1 for focusing lights upon a recoding surface of an optical disc, comprises a moving part 2, which comprises the objective lens 1 and a coil; a magnet, which is fixed on a yoke and drives the moving part 2; a plural number of elastic support parts, each of which supports the moving part 2 at an end thereof; a first fixing portion 5a and a second fixing portion 5b, which fix other ends of the plural number of elastic support parts 4 and are disposed opposite to each other in a focus direction; and a moving mechanism 6, which is provided on the first and second fixing portion 5a and 5b, so that the first and second fixing portions 5a and 5b can move in the focus direction, relatively, and thereby providing the objective lens actuator 25 enabling to reduce the dynamic relative tilt between the optical disc and the objective lens 1 (i.e., reducing the tilt of the objective lens 1 in the tangential direction when operating), as well as, an optical pickup and an optical disc drive.

摘要： The invention provides an objective lens driving apparatus in which an efficiency of a magnetic circuit is improved by making a magnetic flux density distribution of the objective lens driving apparatus close to symmetrical. An objective lens driving apparatus has an objective lens, a tracking coil driving the objective lens in a tracking direction, a focusing coil driving the objective lens in a focusing direction, and a yoke arranged so as to oppose to the tracking coil and having a permanent magnet attached thereto. The yoke has a bottom plate portion and an outer yoke bent approximately perpendicularly to the bottom plate portion from an outer edge portion of the bottom plate portion, has a first yoke having an opening formed in a center portion thereof, and a second yoke having a bottom plate portion and an inner yoke bent approximately perpendicularly to the bottom plate portion from an inner edge portion of the bottom plate portion, and having an opening formed in a center portion thereof.
