摘要: An apparatus and method for displaying a plurality of icons on the display of a mobile terminal are provided. One or more characteristics associated with each icon are compared to one or more context values, such as time of day, geographic area, or user profile characteristics. Icons that best match one or more context values are represented in a display format that is enlarged in relation to other icons on the display device. The context values may include dynamically changing information, such as a current location of the user, so that as the user moves to a different geographic area, different icons are enlarged on the display device. The icons can correspond to application programs; logos (such as a corporate logo); documents; Web sites; or other objects. The icons can be grouped into a context bar that is displayed along an edge of the display device, and can be arranged in a horizontal, vertical, or mixed fashion. A magnifying glass metaphor can be moved over icons to highlight and select an icon.

摘要: An apparatus and method for displaying a plurality of icons on the display of a mobile terminal are provided. Messages are first sorted by comparing characteristics of the messages with first context category values. The messages may be assigned to discrete groups. The messages within each of the groups are then sorted by comparing characteristics of the messages with second context category values. Icons are assigned to the messages and displayed on a display of the mobile terminal.

摘要: A user interface may be provided that allows a user to select one or more stored items and display metadata attributes for those items. The user may further specify modifiers for one or more of the metadata attributes and perform searches based on selected ones of the metadata attributes and/or selected ones of the modifiers. In addition, a descriptive phrase may be automatically generated for one or more items. The descriptive phrase may be generated based on one or more of the metadata attributes. In doing so, metadata attributes may be converted to more user-friendly forms and collected into a sentence or other phrase. The descriptive phrase may be attached to the one or more items.

摘要: Methods and systems for managing metadata are described. The method comprises steps of receiving a request from an application to access a metadata attribute corresponding to a piece of content, determining whether the application is authorized to access the metadata attribute, retrieving the metadata attribute upon determining that the application is authorized to access the metadata attribute, and transmitting the metadata attribute to the application. A metadata storage medium may be accessed and searched for the metadata attribute. The metadata storage medium may be encrypted to provide additional security.

摘要: A system and method for displaying map data to a person using either a hand-held or head-worn display is described. In one preferred system, a head-worn display is used. The location of the person and the direction of the person's view is determined. A map image indicated by the location and direction is presented in the display. This map image is displayed in a three-dimensional perspective view, allowing the person to easily associate the objects in the map image with the real objects in the person's field of view. In addition, the user may indicate a desired destination and the three-dimensional perspective view will be changed according to the user's location relative to the desired destination.

The system allows for a user to search for content data based upon context data. Another method for associating data is described. The method includes steps of initiating a mufti-media call session, initiating an application independent of the mufti-media call session, and associating collected metadata from the application and the mufti-media call session.

摘要: Systems and methods applicable, for instance, in operation control functionality. For example, a node and/or other computer might maintain one or more node information arrays, might provide some or all of one or more node information arrays to other nodes and/or other computers, and/or might receive some or all of one or more node information arrays from other nodes and/or other computers. Node information arrays might, for example, be employed in a number of ways. For instance, a node and/or other computer might employ some or all of maintained node information arrays and/or some or all of received node information arrays in making one or more determinations regarding its operation. One or more search operations might, for example, be performed.
