Abstract: An improved transmission housing is disclosed utilizing slots in mirror image housing castings to mount bolts that retain the brake to the transmission housing without the necessity of any machining. The axis of the slots extend substantially perpendicular to the parting line of the housing castings with the enlarged heads of the bolts located therein so that the bolts cannot be rotated.
