    摘要: A sensor arrangement, particularly for a passenger protection system of a motor vehicle, comprising a first group of sensors (10, 12) by means of which a first group of state parameters jointly usable by a first decision making unit connected downstream for detecting a first event can be detected, a first digital unit (20) coupled on the input side to at least one sensor (12) of the first sensor group. The arrangement processes the sensor output signals fed thereto and providing the same for forwarding to the first decision making unit as digital values. A second group of sensors (14, 16, 18), by means of which a second group of state parameters jointly useable by a second decision making unit is connected downstream for detecting a second event can be detected with a second digital unit coupled on the input side to at least one sensor (16, 18) of the second sensor group. The arrangement processes the sensor output signals fed thereto and providing the same for forwarding to the second decision making unit as digital values wherein at least one sensor (10) of the first sensor group is coupled to the second digital unit (22) and at least one sensor (14) of the second sensor group is coupled to the second digital unit (22) and at least one sensor (14) of the second sensor group is coupled to the first digital unit (20). The digital units (20, 22) are coupled on their output sides to a first and a second node (28, 30) combining the digital values.

    摘要: An arrangement is provided for triggering a vehicle safety device. A proximity sensor (1) provides an output related to a distance to an object and/or the relative speed between the object and the sensor. A main accelerometer (2) is sensitive to acceleration in a predetermined direction. A supplementary accelerometer (3) is also provided. A first processing arrangement (4) performs an algorithm with the main algorithm, and is connected to receive an input from the proximity sensor and from the main accelerometer and to provide an output to a triggering signal generator (5). There is a second processing arrangement (7) which receives a signal from the main accelerometer (2) and also from the supplementary accelerometer (3). The second processing arrangement also provides an output connected to the said signal generator (5) to generate the triggering signal.

    摘要: A pedestrian detection system is provided on a motor vehicle, in order to detect a pedestrian so that an appropriate safety device can be activated in order to provide protection to the pedestrian in the event of an impact with the pedestrian. The detection system has a first sensor arrangement (10) which is located at least 0.5 meters behind the front end of the motor vehicle. The first sensor arrangement (10) is configured to detect the speed of and/or distance to a part of an object (such as a pedestrian) located in front of the vehicle. That part of the object which is detected is part of the object which extends above a predetermined height, which is at least the height of the front edge of the hood or bonnet (3) of the motor vehicle.

    摘要: An arrangement is provided for triggering a vehicle safety device. A proximity sensor (1) provides an output related to a distance to an object and/or the relative speed between the object and the sensor. A main accelerometer (2) is sensitive to acceleration in a predetermined direction. A supplementary accelerometer (3) is also provided. A first processing arrangement (4) performs an algorithm with the main algorithm, and is connected to receive an input from the proximity sensor and from the main accelerometer and to provide an output to a triggering signal generator (5). There is a second processing arrangement (7) which receives a signal from the main accelerometer (2) and also from the supplementary accelerometer (3). The second processing arrangement also provides an output connected to the said signal generator (5) to generate the triggering signal.
