    摘要： Described herein is a surgical nail in the form of an intramedullary nail with a central axis made from a material M with a tensile strength Fz, compressive strength Fd, density ρ2 and modulus of elasticity E. The nail has a transverse bore extending transversely to the central axis and having a cross-sectional profile F and a transverse axis, the cross-sectional profile F having a maximum length a that runs in the direction of the central axis and a maximum width b that runs perpendicular to the length. An insert with the longitudinal axis, made from material m and having a modulus of elasticity e that is smaller than the modulus of elasticity E of material M, can be introduced into the transverse bore. The insert also has a length L that runs in the direction of its longitudinal axis and satisfies the condition L>0.2 D.

    摘要： A device for expressing human breast milk has a breast shield for bearing against a mother's breast, a vacuum pump for generating a vacuum, a line which connects the vacuum pump to the breast shield and is intended for transmitting the vacuum generated to the breast shield, and a chamber. The line ends on the pump side in a first port of the chamber. The chamber has a second port for connection to a milk collecting container. The two ports in the chamber are connected to each other in terms of fluid communication. During the expressing operation, the line forms a milk line for transporting breast milk expressed in the breast shield to the chamber and from the chamber to the milk collecting container. The pump can be designed to be quiet and small.

    摘要： A locking screw for an intramedullary nail having at least one transverse hole. The locking screw has a central longitudinal axis and includes a screw shank, which is at least partially provided with an external thread, and a screw head. The diameter of the screw head is greater than the outer diameter of the external thread, and the screw head includes a passage extending generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the screw and the external thread. The passage is configured to receive a longitudinal wedge element. As a result, any gap between the locking screw and the intramedullary nail is eliminated and the screw is wedged in position in the transverse hole of the intramedullary nail.

    摘要： A breast shield has a tubular connector and a funnel that is integrally formed thereon, and is intended for resting on a mother's breast. The funnel widens toward the free side thereof which faces away from the connector. A passage, which extends continuously from a breast-side end of the funnel as far as a pump-side end, being opposite the breast-side end, of the connector, and serves to apply a vacuum to the mother's breast and for the flowing away of the expressed breast milk. The funnel is of more flexible design than the connector, and the funnel has a main region extending over a substantial part of the length thereof with a first opening angle of the passage, and a breast-side end region with a second opening angle of the passage. When not in use, the first opening angle is smaller than the second opening angle. In use, at least the first opening angle can be enlarged by axial pressure on the breast shield. The breast shield is pleasant to wear and minimizes the dead volume.

The bone screw and radially expandable sleeve are inserted into a transverse opening extending through a bone fixation device positioned in a bone until the radially expandable sleeve is fully housed within the transverse opening. The bone screw is further screwed into the bone relative to the radially expandable sleeve to cause expansion of the radially expandable sleeve within the bone fixation device, thereby locking the sleeve to the bone fixation device.
