摘要: Devices, systems, and methods for bone stabilization, especially proximal humeral stabilization. The stabilization system may include a bone plate having an elongated portion extending along a longitudinal axis and an enlarged head portion extending from the elongated portion. The stabilization system may include an intramedullary nail having an upper portion and a lower portion extending from the upper portion, the upper portion and the lower portion including a plurality of holes. A plurality of fasteners may be configured to extend through one or more of the plurality of through holes in the bone plate and/or one or more of the plurality of holes in the intramedullary nail and into the bone. The plate and nail may each be used alone or in combination together to stabilize a fracture in a long bone, such as a humerus.

摘要: Described herein are retrograde femoral nails and insertion systems suitable for stabilizing femoral fractures of the shaft and femur. After reaming the femoral canal, the intramedullary nail may be inserted with a retrograde approach through the knee. The nail includes four-start threaded holes in the distal region. The nail also includes oblique distal holes with a trajectory that targets the bone in the posterior condyles. The insertion instrumentation assembly and system includes an insertion handle with a retaining thread that prevents the connection bolt from falling out. An assembly shaft is also included, which assists the user in connecting the nail to the insertion handle. The system further includes an aiming guide with a retention mechanism that holds driver sleeves in place. The aiming guide also contains a hole to position a locking washer holder to interface with the nail.

摘要: The present invention provides an intramedullary nail implant system in which the nail body includes drive components which provide for independent compression on medial lateral screws to compress the interface between the tibia and talus, and in the sub-talar joint between the talus and calcaneus. An outrigger is provided which functions as a drill guide and helps to stabilize the construct and create and hold compression during the surgical procedure and a surgical method is provided which uses the system to achieve ankle fusion.

The bone screw includes a sleeve that has an internal female screw thread configured to mate with the second male screw thread. A distal portion of the sleeve has an outer diameter. The outer diameter is equal to or smaller than the minor diameter of the distal section of the shaft.

摘要: An implant system for use in orthopaedic surgery for fixation of bone includes an intramedullary nail and a coupling member. The intramedullary nail includes a proximal portion defining a longitudinal axis. The proximal portion includes an axial bore defining an axis substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the proximal portion and a transverse bore configured to receive a bone fastener. Further, the coupling member includes a drive portion and a bone fastener engagement portion. The drive portion is in one variant non-rotatably coupled to the bone fastener engagement portion. The bone fastener engagement portion is configured to engage the bone fastener penetrating the transverse bore. In one variant the engagement is realized via an extended contact region.
