摘要： A game racquet includes a head portion and a pair of removable handle portions. The head portion is adapted to support racquet strings and includes a pair of side portions which curve downwardly and inwardly at the bottom of the head. Each handle portion includes a substantially straight bottom portion and a curved top portion which is frictionally engaged with, and removable from, one of the side portions of the hoop. Dampening or resilient material is positioned between the frictionally engaged portions of the side portions and the handle portions.

摘要： A valve cover gasket assembly for an automotive engine includes a rigid core having a plurality of pairs of notches, with each pair comprising one notch on the inner edge of the core and one notch on the outer edge. The assembly further includes a rigid stop member for each pair of notches, each stop member having a portion defining a fastener hole and a spaced apart lug. The stop members are secured to the core by engagement with the notches. When secured in this manner, the portion of each stop member defining the fastener hole is offset laterally from the core. An elastomeric envelope having elastomeric beads is applied over the core and a portion of each stop member, so that the beads extend continuously around the length of the assembly.

摘要： A gasket to be positioned between two sealing flanges of an internal combustion engine includes a plurality of stacked gasket layers. Each layer has two opposing generally planar surfaces and predetermined thickness. At least one of the gasket layers has a surface projection at a predetermined height above its generally planar surface and another layer defines a void. The surface projection is situated so that the projection aligns with and extends into the void. The combined thicknesses of the gasket layers is not increased by the height of the surface projection.

摘要： A multi-layer steel cylinder head gasket includes a spacer layer between two beaded mirror image outer layers. A wire ring stopper extends about the boundary of a combustion opening in the stopper layer; the ring is radially spaced from the mirror image beaded outer layer extremities. The ring is covered by a flange folded thereover; the flange extends radially outwardly to overlie the boundary edge of the stopper layer at the combustion opening. The stopper ring pre-stresses the gasket interface at the combustion opening upon securement of a cylinder head to an engine block. Because the stopper ring is spaced from the beaded outer layers, the stresses imposed on the wire ring are decoupled from the beaded outer layers, and lower incidences of bead cracking are realized. In addition, the wire ring diameter is greater than the thickness of the stopper layer, reducing unnecessary compression loads on the stopper layer.
