摘要： A sheet-handling device comprising an intermediate conveyer passage, an intermediate tray, introduction rollers, conveying rollers and a controller. The controller rotates the introduction rollers and the conveying rollers forward and reverse so as to convey two pieces of sheets successively introduced into the intermediate conveyer passage until their trailing ends separate away from the introduction rollers. The conveying rollers are halted in a state where the leading ends are nipped. After the leading ends of the two pieces of sheets have been nipped in an overlapped manner by the conveying rollers, the conveying rollers are rotated forward to convey the two pieces of overlapped sheets into the intermediate tray.

摘要： A sheet-handling device comprising an intermediate conveyer passage, an intermediate tray, introduction rollers, conveying rollers and a controller. The controller rotates the introduction rollers and the conveying rollers forward and reverse so as to convey two pieces of sheets successively introduced into the intermediate conveyer passage until their trailing ends separate away from the introduction rollers. 摘要： A post-processing apparatus is for applying a specified post-processing to sheets supplied from an image forming apparatus and includes an apparatus main body, a first tray disposed in the apparatus main body for applying the specified post-processing to a bunch of sheets formed by storing a specified number of sheets supplied from the image forming apparatus one over another and then discharging the processed bunch of sheets, and a second tray disposed in the apparatus main body for directing the sheets supplied from the image forming apparatus toward the first tray after detouring the sheets. The first and second trays are integrally insertable into and withdrawable from the apparatus main body.

摘要： A stapling section staples a sheet has an opening. The opening has a first open side facing a moving direction of a recording medium moved by the medium moving section and a second open side extending along the moving direction. A shutter is near the second open side in the stapling section. The shutter has a first end axially supported in a freely rotatable manner on an upstream side in the moving direction for arranging the sheet at the stapling position, and a second end portion that hangs down toward the downstream side in the moving direction. When the sheet is not in the stapling section, the second end of the shutter hangs down to block the second open side. When the sheet enters the stapling section through the opening section, the second end of the shutter is pushed up by the axially supported end as the support shaft.

摘要： A first folding portion includes: a first folding roller pair consisting of a common roller and a first roller; and a blade member that feeds a sheet to a first nip, thereby forming a first fold on the sheet in the first nip. A second folding portion includes a second folding roller pair consisting of the common roller and a second roller, thereby forming a second fold on the sheet in a second nip. The common roller and the first roller are parallel in a conveying direction in a case where the sheet is guided toward the first folding portion. The blade member moves in a direction that is substantially orthogonal to a conveyance surface. The common roller is disposed on an upstream side of the first roller in the sheet conveying direction.

摘要： An image-forming machine comprises a sheet member conveying passage extending through a transfer zone and a fixing zone, a sheet member-feeding means for feeding a sheet member onto the sheet member conveying passage, and a sheet member conveying means for conveying the sheet member through the sheet member conveying passage. A housing of the image-forming machine has a lower surface defined by an intermediate lower wall and an upper surface defined by an intermediate upper wall, and forms a space of which the front surface is opened. The downstream end portion of the sheet member conveying passage extends along a one side portion of the intermediate lower wall on the lower side thereof. The one side portion of the intermediate lower wall is defined by the opening/closing member, and opening/closing member is brought to the open position to open the downstream end portion of the sheet member conveying passage. The sheet member conveying means includes a pair of register rollers. After the leading edge of the sheet member delivered onto the sheet member conveying passage is brought into contact with the nip of the pair of register rollers, the pair of register rollers are preliminarily rotated for only a predetermined period of time.
