摘要: A cathodic protection system has electrodes disposed in a coolant passage of an engine filled with a conductive coolant. The electrodes are electrically insulated from the engine. A power supply device provides for a protective electric current to form from the electrodes to the engine through the coolant. The cathodic protection system reduces engine manufacturing and maintenance costs and provides an anticorrosive effect without increasing the size of the engine.

摘要: An electrode for a cathodic protection device that has one or more electrode bodies formed of a conductive wire. The electrode includes a pair of films made of an insulating material which are bonded to each other while sandwiching the electrode body therebetween. Preferably at least one of the pair of films is bonded to an engine body. The electrode body is exposed to the outside through one or more through-holes formed in at least one of the films. The electrode is less susceptible to short-circuiting or wire breakage when bent and is also easier to manufacture than conventional electrodes.

摘要: A conveyance apparatus includes a liquid discharge head unit, a conveyance rotator, and a plurality of detection devices. The liquid discharge head unit discharge liquid to an object conveyed in a conveyance direction. The conveyance rotator conveys the object. The plurality of detection devices output a detection result indicating a position of the object. The adjacent two of the plurality of detection devices are spaced at a prescribed distance. The prescribed distance is an integral multiple of a circumference of the conveyance rotator.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a conveyor to convey a conveyed object in a conveyance direction, a plurality of head units to perform image formation on the conveyed object, a displacement sensor disposed downstream from the plurality of head units to detect a position adjustment image on the conveyed object, formed by the plurality of head units, and at least one processor configured to adjust an image formation position of at least one of the head units in a direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction, based on a result generated by the displacement sensor. The image forming apparatus further includes a surface sensor to obtain surface data of the conveyed object at a position corresponding to the head unit to be adjusted, and the processor further adjusts the image formation position in the orthogonal direction based on the surface data obtained by the surface sensor.
