摘要： A variable displacement compressor includes a swash plate, which is rotatably supported on a drive shaft in a crank chamber. The crank chamber is connected to a discharge chamber through a pressurizing passage. An electromagnetic control valve is located in the pressurizing passage. When the control valve opens the pressurizing passage, pressure in the crank chamber increases and inclination of the swash plate decreases. When the control valve closes the pressurizing passage, the pressure in the crank chamber decreases and inclination of the swash plate increases. A fixed restrictor is located in the pressurizing passage. When the control valve suddenly opens the pressurizing passage, the fixed restrictor limits the flow rate of gas in the pressurizing passage so that the pressure in the crank chamber gradually increases. Accordingly, the inclination of the swash plate gradually decreases, thus reducing vibration and noise.

摘要： Pistons are accommodated in each cylinder bores of a variable displacement compressor. A swash plate is coupled to the piston for converting rotation of the drive shaft to reciprocation of the pistons. A thrust bearing located between a rotor and a housing of the compressor. The outermost load-bearing points of the thrust bearing are radially farther from the axis of the drive shaft than the axes of the pistons. This permits the thrust bearing to directly receive a reaction forces from the pistons through the rotor without applying a moment to the bearing.

摘要： A damping device is arranged in a gas passage in a compressor for damping compression waves transmitted from suction valves. The damping device includes a damper arranged in a damper hole provided in a pipe fitting of the compressor housing. The damper has concentric inner and outer cylindrical walls, and end wall closing ends of the inner and outer cylindrical walls, and radial holes at the end of the inner cylindrical wall. The outer cylindrical wall is arranged in the damper hole and the inner cylindrical wall is fitted in the fitting hole leading to the suction chamber. A gas passage is formed by an inner passage portion, radial holes, an inter-wall passage portion, a radial passage portion at the end opposite to radial holes, and an outer passage portion between the outer cylindrical wall and the side cylindrical wall of the damper hole.
