    摘要： The present invention relates to a toner for electrophotography, and an object of the present invention is to improve various characteristics of the toner for electrophotography. A charge controlling agent composition obtained either by adding carbon therein during the preparation of the charge controlling agent or by mixing the charge controlling agent with carbon in the presence of a solvent, and an electro-photographic toner containing said composition are provided. The charge controlling agent composition wherein the charge controlling agent and carbon are uniformly dispersed, has excellent dispersibility in the resin, is freed from the problems of charging unstableness and scattering, and can provide an electro-photographic toner which provides a clear copied image.

    摘要： Disclosed herein is an electrostatic image developing toner, which comprises a binder resin, a colorant and a charge control agent, wherein the charge control agent is a hydrophobicity-imparted product of a xanthene-type dye, which is represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.3, R.sub.5, R.sub.6 and R.sub.7 are independently hydrogen or a lower alkyl group, R.sub.2 and R.sub.4 are independently a lower alkyl group, and A is a group represented by the formula ##STR2## in which R.sub.8 is a C.sub.8-37 alkyl group, or the formula ##STR3## in which R.sub.9 is a C.sub.1-37 alkyl group, and X is O, S, NH or CH.sub.2, and is contained in a proportion of 0.05 to 10 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the binder resin.

    摘要： A metal complex compound having the formula: ##STR1## wherein each of X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 which may be the same or different, is a nitro group, a halogen atom, a phenylazo group (inclusive of a substituted phenylazo group) or a naphthylazo group (inclusive of a substituted naphthylazo group), each of n.sub.1 and n.sub.2 which may be the same or different, is an integer of from 1 to 3, each of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 which may be the same or different, is an amino group, a monoalkylamino group, a dialkylamino group, an acetylamino group and a benzoylamino group (inclusive of a substituted benzoylamino group), M is a chromium atom, an iron atom, a cobalt atom, m is an integer of at least 2, and y.sup.m.sym. is a bivalent or higher polyvalent metal ion. The metal complexes are useful as near infrared absorbers.
