摘要： An image forming apparatus arranged to receive image information from a memory device for storing color image information and then to form an image on an image-forming medium. This apparatus allows an operator to specify the size and the layout of a color image to be formed on the image-forming medium while viewing a display provided on a monitor device. The apparatus can change the size of the color image information read from the memory device to the required magnification in accordance with a command given by the specifying element, thereby producing a printout. In this case, the operator can adjust the image quality of image information to be printed out while visually confirming the quality of the image displayed on the monitor device, whereby no proof printout is needed.

摘要： This invention provides an image storing apparatus which can store input image information while preserving the aspect ratio thereof. The image storing apparatus compares the memory capacity of a memory device with the size of the input image information to change the size of the input image to the required magnification, thereby preventing the image to be stored from being partially cut away. Moreover, if another image information is allowed to be stored in the memory device, this image information can be stored in the same, whereby image information can be efficiently stored.

摘要： An image processing system including: a reproducing apparatus to reproduce a plurality of image signals recorded on a recording medium; and an image forming apparatus to form the image signals of a plurality of picture planes which were read out of the reproducing apparatus as a plurality of visible images. The reproducing apparatus and the image forming apparatus process the plurality of image signals, while communicating with each other via a wire. With this system, since the image recording and reproducing apparatus can be preferably controlled on the image forming apparatus side, the image forming apparatus can be provided in a portable small image recording and reproducing apparatus such as an electronic still camera which executes an electrophotographic image process.
