Optics are prevented from becoming damaged by feedback light reflecting when generating the high-density plasma in a laser-driven radiation generating system and returning back to the upstream of the laser system.

    摘要: An opening which leads inside a surface-moutable switch is sealed by a tape seal, a good seal being maintained even when heat is applied to the switch. A switch body has a top surface and an inner space in which an electrical contact is provided. A switch knob operating the electrical contact provided inside the switch is accessed through the opening. The tape seal seals the opening with an adhesive applied between the tape seal and a top surface of a switch body. A portion of the tape seal directly above the opening is drawn into the opening by a negative pressure in the opening. The surface-mountable switch is manufactured by placing the switch body applied with the tape seal in a vacuum chamber so as to evacuate air surrounding the switch body. The seal for the opening is temporarily broken by an air pressure inside the opening, and the pressure inside the opening becomes a negative pressure with respect to the atmospheric pressure. The portion of the tape seal directly above the opening is drawn into the opening. The switch body applied with the tape seal may be simply heated so that the air inside the opening is expanded. The expanded air is abruptly discharged through an air vent opening formed between the tape seal and the switch body. A negative pressure is generated in the opening to draw the tape seal into the opening, and the opening is hermetically sealed.

    摘要: An electrical connector includes a connector housing having a drain hole. A vacuum pump is connected to the drain hole through a suction pipe. The suction pipe is connected to a water trap. A control unit controls the vacuum pump on the basis of the state of a mode selecting switch and a reed switch detecting the state of a lid for closing and opening an open end of the connector housing. In mode A, the vacuum pump is actuated to aspirate water from in the connector housing with air while the lid is open. In mode B, the vacuum pump is actuated both when the lid is opened and when the lid is closed.

    摘要: A flexible arm with a locking ramp is mounted on a plug connector in a resiliently swingable manner. The locking ramp abuts against a locking latch formed on the receptacle connector when the plug unit is inserted in the socket hole formed in a receptacle. Further pressing of the plug unit causes the locking latch to press down the locking ramp so that the plug and receptacle units are perfectly disengaged from each other until the peak of the locking ramp exceeds the bottom of the locking latch. Thus, the connector is forcibly and automatically re-set at a pre-engagement position where the terminals are non-conductive when the connector is not completely engaged.

    摘要: A connector is provided to prevent an increase of stresses in soldered portions between terminals and a circuit board during thermal expansion. Terminals 11 are mounted in a housing 10 and are positioned by an alignment plate 12 for mounting in holes H of a circuit board P. Movable holding portions 17, which are elastically deformable, are formed in a plate main body 13 of the alignment plate 12. The movable holding portions 17 are connected with the plate main body 13 via connection portions 18. Positioning holes 15 for aligning the terminals 11 are formed in each movable holding portion 17. Even if the plate main body 13 is displaced with respect to the circuit board P due to thermal expansion with the terminals 11 fitted in and soldered to connection holes of the circuit board P, such a relative displacement is corrected by the elastic deformation of the movable holding portions 17 and the connection portions 18 and, accordingly, the positioning holes 15 are held in specified positions with respect to the connection holes. Therefore, there is no likelihood that stresses in the soldered portions increase due to the displacement of the positioning holes 15 with respect to the connection holes.
