Abstract: A method of navigating a dynamic pool equipment unit in a water pool, comprising: receiving sensory data captured by a plurality of sensors of a dynamic pool equipment unit moving in a water pool, mapping, based on analysis of the sensory data, one or more geometrically distinguishable surfaces of the water pool which is geometrically distinguishable from any adjacent surface of the water pool, generating a map of the water pool based on the mapped one or more geometrically distinguishable surface, and outputting the water pool map for navigating one or more dynamic pool. Wherein the plurality of sensors employ a plurality of different sensing technologies.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of detecting stalled state of a dynamic pool equipment unit, comprising receiving a plurality of movement features relating to a dynamic pool equipment unit deployed in a water pool which are captured during a predefined sampling window and comprise (1) motion features of the pool equipment unit, and (2) operational features of electric motor(s) of the pool equipment unit, determining a movement pattern of the pool equipment unit using one or more statistical models applied to the plurality of movement features which are trained to estimate a stalled state of the pool equipment unit in which the pool equipment unit is pitched up and unable to advance on a slopped obstacle in the water pool, and causing the pool equipment unit to stop attempted advance in a current direction responsive to determining that the pool equipment unit is in the stalled state.

Abstract: A method of evaluating slipperiness of a floor surface of a water pool by inducing one or more rotation scans of a pool equipment unit by driving a power pulse to one or more electric motors configured to rotate the pool equipment unit deployed on a floor surface of a water pool and at least partially submerged in water of the water pool, accumulating power values of the power pulse while its level is above a motor operation threshold, accumulating values of angular velocity of the pool equipment unit measured starting after the power pulse drops below the threshold until the pool equipment unit stops rotating; computing work energy invested to rotate the pool equipment unit based on the power values and the angular velocity values; computing a slipperiness index of the floor surface based on the work energy; and initiating one or more actions according to the slipperiness index.
