摘要： Method and apparatus of video coding are disclosed. According to one method, in the decoder side, a predefined Intra mode is assigned to a neighboring block adjacent to the current luma block when the neighboring block satisfies one or more conditions. An MPM (Most Probable Mode) list is derived based on information comprising at least one of neighboring Intra modes. A current Intra mode is derived utilizing the MPM list. The current luma block is decoded according to the current Intra mode According to another method, a predefined Intra mode is assigned to a neighboring block adjacent to the current luma block if the neighboring block is coded in BDPCM (Block-based Delta Pulse Code Modulation) mode, where the predefined Intra mode is set to horizontal mode or vertical mode depending on prediction direction used by the BDPCM mode.

摘要： A method and apparatus of encoding or decoding for a coding system, where bi-directional CU (coding unit) weighting (BCW) is enabled for the coding system to allow using multiple pairs of weights, are disclosed. According to this method, a Merge candidate list is generated for the current block, where current bi-directional CU weights for a bi-directional predictor of the current block associated with a target Merge candidate in the Merge candidate list are set to a pre-define pair of weights when the target Merge candidate corresponds to a selected Merge candidate. In another method, current bi-directional CU weights for a bi-directional predictor associated with a target Merge candidate in the Merge candidate list are inherited from the target Merge candidate when the target Merge candidate corresponds to a selected Merge candidate.

摘要： For each prediction candidate of a set of one or more prediction candidates of the current block, a video coder computes a matching cost between a set of reference pixels of the prediction candidate in a reference picture and a set of neighboring pixels of a current block in a current picture. The video coder identifies a subset of the reference pictures as major reference pictures based on a distribution of the prediction candidates among the reference pictures of the current picture. A bounding block is defined for each major reference picture, the bounding block encompassing at least portions of multiple sets of reference pixels for multiple prediction candidates. The video coder assigns an index to each prediction candidate based on the computed matching cost of the set of prediction candidates. A selection of a prediction candidate is signaled by using the assigned index of the selected prediction candidate.

摘要： Video processing methods comprise receiving input data of a current block in a current picture, constructing a candidate list for the current block by including one or more History-based Motion Vector Predictor (HMVP) candidates, selecting one candidate from the candidate list, locating a reference block according to motion information of the selected candidate, and encoding or decoding the current block by predicting the current block using the reference block. The one or more HMVP candidates are fetched from a normal HMVP table if the current block is to be processed by a normal inter prediction mode, and the one or more HMVP candidates are fetched form a Current Picture Referencing (CPR) HMVP table if the current block is to be processed by a CPR mode. The two HMVP tables are separately maintained and updated.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for in-loop processing of reconstructed video are disclosed. According to one method, a virtual boundary is determined for to-be-processed pixels in the current picture, where the virtual boundary is aligned with block boundaries and at least one to-be-processed pixel on a first side of the virtual boundary requires one or more second pixels on a second side of the virtual boundary. According to the method, the in-loop processing is modified if a target to-be-processed pixel requires at least one second pixel from the second side of the virtual boundary and the modified in-loop processing eliminates the need for any second pixel on the second side of the virtual boundary. According to another method, the operations of block classification are changed when part of the required pixels in one 10×10 window used in classification are at the other side of virtual boundaries.

摘要： A video coding method using inter-layer prediction or referencing is provided. A video decoder receives data from a bitstream carrying data for video pictures in a plurality of different layers. At least one of the plurality of layers comprises temporal sublayers that correspond to levels in a hierarchical temporal prediction structure. Each temporal sublayer is associated with a temporal identifier. The video decoder receives an inter-layer prediction constraint parameter constraining a maximum temporal sublayer used in inter-layer prediction. The video decoder reconstructs a first picture in a first layer by referencing data of a second picture in a second layer. A temporal identifier of the referenced data satisfies the received inter-layer prediction constraint parameter.

According to another method, a current block belongs to a current picture in a first color format that has only a first color component. A first scaling matrix is signaled at the video encoder side or parsed at the video decoder side for the first color component of the current block. Signaling any second scaling matrix is disabled at the video encoder side or parsing any second scaling matrix is disabled at the video decoder side for a second or third color component of the current block.
