    摘要: Methods for performing origination and termination processes to control reserved semi-permanent virtual path connections in an asynchronous transfer mode virtual path switching system. A service can flexibly be provided based on semi-permanent virtual path connection information for a desired time in response to a reserved semi-permanent virtual path registration command received through an operator interface during the operation of the system. Also, the reserved semi-permanent virtual path connections can be controlled up to 256 per subscriber link of 155 Mbps class. A subscriber service using time is designated and resources in a network are occupied only for the designated time. Therefore, a plurality of subscribers are set at different service time zones in such a manner that the network resources can be utilized at the maximum at each service time zone. The bidirectional-symmetrical, reserved semi-permanent virtual path is set between the subscribers interfaced through the subscriber link of 155 Mbps class, for the service provision for the designated time. Therefore, information such as a moving picture can be transferred through multimedia and virtual channel switches can be interconnected via virtual channels for the control of ATM subscribers in the future ATM network.
