摘要: A process and a circuit control a control unit of a system for protecting vehicle occupants, with a view toward triggering the protection system if the accident is sufficiently serious. The control unit contains one or more sensors which supply sensor signals during the accident, and it contains a computing unit. During the accident, the latter establishes one ACTUAL value or a plurality of different ACTUAL values characterizing the course of the accident on the basis of the sensor signals. It also automatically and continuously redefines a time-variable triggering threshold value in each case, which is namely directly or indirectly dependent on the changes in the sensor signals during the course of the accident. The computing unit compares one or more ACTUAL values with the triggering threshold value being respectively assigned to the ACTUAL value. However, on the basis of the progression of the ACTUAL value/ACTUAL values, it defines the triggering threshold value at any instant in such a way that it changes in a fluctuating manner at least during an accident phase, namely without delay in dependence on the instantaneous value of the ACTUAL value/ACTUAL values, even if during this accident phase there occur constantly major decelerations without the collision direction altering.

摘要: The invention relates to a sensor device and a method for detecting an external impact load on a vehicle (12), especially in the event of a collision with a pedestrian. Said sensor device comprises a sensor line (14) which reacts to a mechanical deformation, a carrier body (16) for receiving the sensor line (14), and a measuring unit (20) which co-operates with the sensor line (14) and is used to provide an impact signal. Said carrier body (16) has a deformation structure (18) engaging with the sensor line (14), for varying the transmission of pressure force in certain sections.

摘要: A plug-and-socket connector having a conductor track structure provided with electrical components, and a method of producing the same.Known plug-and-socket connectors in which a conductor track structure is formed from a metal band can only be embodied with a space-saving design at high cost, and nevertheless have a large structural height. It is very costly to provide such a plug-and-socket connector with components for realizing electrical functions. A design that saves more space, and a smaller structural height, are possible with a plug-and-socket connector having a conductor track structure that is planar and has a window-shaped opening, which is adjoined perpendicularly in one direction by a plug region that receives both the first plug and the second plug inserted from the opposite direction through the window-shaped opening of the conductor track structure. Pin-like tongues are bent, as connecting pins, into the plug region and preferably fixed, with the bent connecting pins and the conductor track structure, by a plastic injection-molded part. Socket contacts for pin-shaped contacting elements at the plugs are disposed in the plug region in insulation chambers and connected to the conductor track structure. Application of such a plug-and-socket connector for an ignition device of airbag systems in motor vehicles.

摘要: An arrangement for generating digital signals on first and second bus lines is tolerant of most line faults, and includes modules connected to both lines, an upper switch between a first potential and the first line, a middle switch between the two lines, and a lower switch between the second line and a second potential lower than the first potential. The switches are controlled to generate digital signals as the potential difference between the two lines. If a fault potential (e.g. a short to ground or other potential) arises on one line, then the switches drive the non-faulty line to provide the required signals relative to the fault potential on the faulty line. Closing the middle switch ensures that the two lines are at the same potential for a low signal. This arrangement is for is signaling in various bus systems, e.g. in vehicle occupant protection systems in motor vehicles.
