Abstract:
A handling device for handling parts and in particular sheet metal bodywork parts, comprises a carrier unit which has a coupling means for coupling to a robot arm of a robot and a plurality of operating modules each having an attachment interface for the attachment of an operating device such as a vacuum gripper or the like, each operating module being provided with adjustment means for setting position of the attachment interface wherein the adjustment means comprise several positioning setting drives controlled by electrical control signals from a control device, such setting drives rendering possible shifting the attachment interface in the x, y and z directions of a Cartesian coordinate system spanning the x, y and z coordinates, the positioning setting drives being so designed that the attachment interface is able to be positioned in the desired target position by motion in the x, y and/or z direction.
Abstract:
Clamping apparatus for disk-shaped information medium having a central hole, the disk-shaped information medium having a surface upon which information is to be printed, including a baseplate having holes; a slider guidably mounted on the baseplate for centering the disk-shaped information medium with the central hole; stationary holding elements arranged on the baseplate, and movable holding elements arranged on the slider, in such a way that when an information medium is placed in the clamping apparatus, a predetermined number of the stationary and movable holding elements are arranged along the outer periphery of the information medium, and the remainder of the stationary and movable holding elements are arranged along the inner periphery of the central hole of the information medium; a bottom plate positioned under the baseplate and movable perpendicular thereto; and information medium contact elements which are formed on the bottom plate and adapted to pass through holes in the baseplate and contact the information medium.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and device for transporting and rotating sheet-form print material. A rotation unit carried on a transport unit is moveable along a carriage guide. A gripper on the rotation unit holds the sheet form print material. Mechanical interaction between the rotation unit and the carriage guide causes the gripper to rotate.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for the removal and transfer of plate-shaped objects (CD) from a stack using a suction device being movable against a counter-force for generating a vacuum with a predetermined duration at a suction opening. To obtain a simple, compact and inexpensive design with safe, simple and gentle removal and transfer of plate-shaped objects such as ring disks or information carriers (compact disks, diskettes or floppy disks) in an automated environment, the device has two U-shaped hollow elements in a concentric arrangement that are on the one hand slideable towards and into one another with their open ends and on the other hand are substantially airtightly sealed in their movement range in relation to one another to the extent that when a vacuum is generated a leak flow of predetermined size and course is achievable, and hence also the vacuum duration that is predetermined for the removal of the object. Furthermore, a sensor device having a sensor, scanning marks and receiving device provided with two pivot-in holding elements for a plate-shaped object (CD) picked up by the suction device from the top of a stack are also provided.
Abstract:
An article of manufacture includes a rigid plate, first and second tab members defined by a pair of substantially diametrically-opposed U-shaped apertures within the plate, and a third tab member defined by a U-shaped aperture proximal to the first and the second tab members. The article of manufacture can be used as an active exhaust defeat device, providing the capability of locking a butterfly valve of a vehicle active exhaust system in a desired orientation. Although the butterfly valve is locked, which may be a non-standard exhaust configuration, the article of manufacture provides that vehicle error codes specific to an exhaust valve actuator are avoided.
Abstract:
Chemical sensors for detecting the activity of a molecule or analyte of interest is provided. The chemical sensors comprise and array or plurality of sensors that are capable of interacting with a molecule of interest, wherein the interaction provides a response fingerprint. The fingerprint can be associated with a library of similar molecules of interest to determine the molecule's activity and diffusion coefficient.
Abstract:
A substituted polyaniline whose self-doped state can be controlled via complexation between boronic acid groups along the backbone with D-fructose in the presence of fluoride is described. For the first time, this allows the formation of a water-soluble, self-doped conducting polymer under the polymerization conditions. In turn this facilitates the growth of polyaniline over a wider pH range

Abstract:
The invention relates to a magazine having a plurality of disk drawers which are mounted in disk-holding compartments and each of which holds a single disk (CD), all of the disk drawers being lockable in and releasable from the magazine by means of a single, common disk drawer locking mechanism and the magazine being capable of insertion into a machine. In order to create a magazine of straightforward, compact and economical design having as few components and being as simple to assemble as possible, the disk drawer locking mechanism is integral with the magazine. The disk drawer locking mechanism and the magazine are constructed as a one-piece injection molded unit in plastic and the disk drawer locking mechanism has a locking catch and a release tab which are joined to the magazine or an outer panel of the magazine by means of a common, elastic fulcrum bar and which pivot conjointly around the centre axis of the fulcrum bar thereby acting against its spring action.
Abstract:
Apparatus for removing plate-shaped objects (CDs) from a stack, the apparatus having a gripper mechanism, a stack magazine with a vertically arranged shaft that passes through the central openings (O) of the plate-shaped objects of the stack, and a lifting mechanism for the stack. To achieve a compact device structure with a low physical height and secure, simple removal and handling of plate-shaped objects, such as annular disks or information media in the form of compact disks or floppy disks in an automatic environment, the shaft has at its top end an upwardly tapering region, and a mechanism for displacing plate-shaped objects (CD), lifted into this region, in the horizontal direction against the shaft are arranged in such a way that a topmost object of the stack, displaced horizontally, can be gripped by means of the gripper mechanism. In addition, the gripper mechanism and the lifting mechanism are arranged vertically displaceably alongside the stack magazine.
