摘要: A real-time event planning system and method provides an automated interface that enables an event planner to create and publish events for which participants can immediately register. The system is designed to allow the event planner to configure all the characteristics of the event in real-time without requiring outside intervention, such as external program downloads or live assistance. An event can be made immediately available for prospective event participants to register and pay for the event.

摘要: Provided are a method, system, and article of manufacture for automated creation and delivery for generating output material. A customer record is generated in a customer database to include fields specifying at least one product, customer preferences, and a selected output method to deliver generated output material on the product specified in the customer record. At least one customer record in the customer database is received to process. A template including at least one query of a content database is processed. The at least one query included in the template using at least one value from the customer record is executed against the content database to access at least one content file. The content of each accessed content file is generated into the output material. A determination is made of a selected one of a plurality of delivery options from the customer record. The output material is transmitted via the determined delivery option to the customer specified in the customer record.

摘要: A skin tanning fixture which may be in the form of a couch with an adjustable cover makes use of a battery of light emitting tubes on the lower side over which is a translucent body supporting sheet. A comparable battery of light emitting tubes are arcuately disposed beneath a reflector on the underside of the cover and also protected by a translucent sheet. There is a greater number of tubes used on the cover than on the lower side and tubes on both sides are arranged in a compact relationship sufficient to generate an energy density of ultraviolet A light rays sufficient to build up a tanning effect in the skin in substantially greater proportion than the proportionate increase in the amount of energy density present due to an increase in the number of tubes.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided to select strains of algal cells for biomass accumulation. Based on synthetic algae sample trajectories, an illumination profile is developed. Strains of algal cells co-cultured in a vessel can then be exposed to the illumination profile under controlled conditions. Properties of algae can be measured and superior strains selected for further cultivation and/or study.

摘要: A computer system and method for collecting and processing user input in data fields is presented. A set of data fields is organized according to one or more contextual groupings and displayed to a user in a user interface display. As user input is received for the set of data fields, a validation component validates the inputted data. If any errors or inconsistencies are detected, a subset of the data fields corresponding to a contextual grouping of the erroneous data field(s) is presented in subsequent user interface display.

摘要: Disclosed is a workflow management system for creating and delivering output material. A customer record is generated to include fields specifying at least one product, customer preferences, and a selected output method to deliver generated output material on the product specified in the customer record. A job record including a status field is added to a job status table for the customer record. The added job record status is set to a first status. A selected job is processed in the job status table. A first worker is invoked if the selected job has the first status. The first worker generates output material from processing the product and customer preference fields in the customer record for the selected job. The status for the selected job in the job status table is set to a second status after generating the output material. A second worker is invoked if the selected job has the second status. The second worker determines a selected one of a plurality of delivery options from the customer record for the selected job and transmits the output material via the determined delivery option to the customer specified in the customer record.

摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for assigning tasks in a distributed system. The method comprises indicating to one or more remote systems in the distributed system that a task is available for processing based on a list identifying the one or more remote systems. The method further comprises receiving at least one response from the one or more remote systems capable of performing the task based on the indication. The method comprises allowing at least one of the remote systems to perform the task based on the at least one received response.
