    摘要: A touch panel according to the present invention is constructed such that a transparent substrate coated with a transparent electrically conductive film and having dot spacers formed on top thereof, and a polarizing plate coated with a transparent electrically conductive polymer on a side thereof facing the transparent substrate, are disposed opposite each other with a prescribed space provided therebetween. As a result, the manufacturing process of the touch panel having such a polarizing plate is greatly simplified and a transparent electrically conductive film having an excellent mechanical strength can be formed as the transparent electrically conductive film of the touch panel.

    摘要: A small and thin pressing direction sensor that can continually detect pressing directions in the angle range of 360 degrees is provided. This pressing direction sensor includes a ring-like resistive film pattern, a first electrode pattern, and a conductive member that electrically connects the resistive film pattern and the first electrode pattern when pressed. The voltage of the first electrode pattern represents the pressing direction. This pressing direction sensor may further include a second electrode pattern. A signal representing the pressing force can be obtained from the second electrode pattern when the pressed conductive member is brought into contact with the second electrode pattern.

    摘要: An improved coordinates input apparatus for designating a particular set of coordinates in three-dimensional space has a substantially box-like frame, a first magnet, a second magnet, and a plurality of magnetoelectric transducers. The first magnet and second magnet are mounted on the frame and disposed so that sides thereof having identical magnetic poles are disposed opposite each other. The second magnet is disposed so as to be tiltable in response to a disposition of forces acting thereupon. The forces include a repulsive force arising between the first magnet and the second magnet and a pressing force exerted on the second magnet. The plurality of magnetoelectric transducers mounted on the frame opposite the second magnet and output voltage values that vary according to a change in a gap between the magnetoelectric transducers and the second magnet, such that the voltage values indicate a set of X,Y coordinates in two-dimensional space.

    摘要: A three-dimensional coordinate input device includes an operation portion, a ferrite magnet provided within the operation portion, two pairs of Hall-effect elements provided on a substrate. One pair of the Hall-effect elements is used for detecting an X coordinate and the other pair of the Hall-effect elements is used for detecting a Y coordinate. When inclined and vertically moved by hand, the operation portion can be displaced in three-dimension. When the operation portion is inclined in any direction, an XY coordinate value can be obtained based on its inclination and inputted into a computer to be displayed on a coordinate space. By using a mean of output voltages of the Hall-effect elements, a Z coordinate value can be obtained and displayed on the coordinate space.
