Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a control apparatus, which includes a casing with two sides each comprising a holding portion extending outwardly and towards a bottom thereof for being held by a user while viewing a front of the casing, the front is inclined progressively from a lateral edge of the front away from the user through the bottom to an opposite lateral edge of the front near the user; a direction input portion disposed on the front of the casing near one of the holding portions; an operation input portion disposed on the front of the casing near the other holding portion; and a sensing input portion disposed on the front of the casing between the direction input portion and the operation input portion and proximate to the user. Thus, a user can press or push any input portion easily for an input while holding the two holding portions by hands.
Abstract:
The present invention is to provide an earphone for playing external background sounds which comprises a background audio module and a speaker, wherein said earphone may be connected to portable electronic devices and outputs audio signals such as voice, music, or radio received from the electronic devices through the speaker. Said earphone is able to acquire the external background sounds through background audio module and outputs the acquired background sounds along with the audio signals through the speaker. Thereby, user can still hear the external background sounds through the speaker while talking on a phone or listening to audio signals like music or radio.
Abstract:
A method is proposed for improving the layout efficiency in laying out electronic components, which is applicable to information processing equipment, to accelerate the layout of electronic components. First, a first two-dimensional plan view including various electronic component members is preset using a drafting software platform. Subsequently, the two-dimensional plan view is converted to a text file and all the relevant data of the electronic components contained in the two-dimensional plan view are encoded in the text file. Then, all of the electronic component members contained in the first two-dimensional plan view are displayed in a second two-dimensional plan view, and a function selection menu is generated by an arithmetic process. Therewith, a user is able to select the data of the electronic component contained in the text file via the function selection menu to perform the layout operations for a printed circuit board.

Abstract:
A docking station for notebook computers includes a connection module, a detection module, a connection port and a signal-processing module. When coupling of a notebook computer and the docking station is detected, an activation signal is generated to activate the signal-processing module to process video/audio signals input to the docking station. The processed video/audio signals are output to the notebook computer to enable users to enjoy video/audio programs on the hardware facilities of the notebook computer thereby to expand the function of the docking station.
Abstract:
A PC interval timer test method used in a personal computer to test the abnormality of the interval timer of a PC (personal computer) by: calculating the difference between the periodic interrupt frequency of the PC's CMOS Real Time Clock (R.T.C.) and the interval timer interrupt frequency within the same time period, and then judging the result by comparing the value of the difference thus obtained with the set maximum allowable value of error of the CMOS R.T.C.'s periodic interrupt frequency. The maximum frequency of the CMOS R.T.C. can be as high as 8192 Hz, so that the test error can be as minor as below 1/8192.
Abstract:
A method used to test the correctness of image data transited between the system memory and display memory is described as follows. First, a image data A is stored in a location B of the system memory. Then, the data of image A and a location C of display memory are stored into a Bitblt temporary storage means. The Bitblt engine is used to transit the data of image A stored in the location B of system memory to the location C of display memory. Then, the data of location C, location D of display memory, and image A are input into the Bitblt temporary storage means. The Bitblt engine is used to transit the data of image A from the location C to the location D of display memory. The data of image A and location E are input into the Bitblt temporary storage means. The Bitblt engine is used to transit the data of image A from the location D into the location E of the system memory. Then, the image data A in location B of system memory is compared with the image data A in location E of system memory for determining whether the image data A is correct after the transiting procedure completed.
Abstract:
The present invention herein relates to a kind of testing method of the integrity of the software pre-installed in a computer hard disk by providing a file information access function to directly read data on the physical magnetic tracks of a hard disk through a lower level operating method, and to obtain and then test the file names, file sizes, file storage locations and other information stored in all partitions (including hidden partitions and normal partitions). The present invention also permits the operator to manually input the names of known files and directories that may be altered during the computer start-up routine in advance to enable the effects of said known files and directories being disregarded during the testing procedures, and, furthermore, to create a standard pre-installed software information file that is compared with a temporary file created from the software information on the hard disk, thereby ensuring that the software pre-installed on a hard disk of computer sold by a manufacturer is reliable and accurate to meet consumers' expectations.
