摘要： A sewing machine cover 2 includes a cover main body 7 and an extension cover portion 8. The cover main body 7 houses a left-right embroidery-frame drive mechanism 60 for driving an embroidery frame 50 in leftward and rightward directions. The extension cover portion 8 houses a front-rear embroidery-frame drive mechanism 80 for driving the embroidery frame 50 in front and rear directions. An opening 35 for engaging with an engagement portion 11 of a bed portion 3 is formed in a wall 31 of the cover main portion 7. When the sewing machine cover 2 is used as a cover of a sewing machine M, a bed surface 12 and an upper surface of the wall 31 form a substantially continuous work surface.

摘要： A sewing machine with an automatic threader comprises a threading hook for threading a needle, a thread carrying member for passing a thread through a thread take-up spring, a thread holding device for extending the thread from a thread take-up lever near to the thread eye of the needle so that the threading hook is able to catch the thread, an actuating lever for moving the thread holding device releasably holding the thread near to the needle and making the thread holding device transfer the thread to the threading hook, and an operating member for operating the thread carrying member and the actuating lever. These components of the automatic threader are interlocked with each other so that the thread is extended to the threading hook and is passed through the thread eye of the needle automatically by the single downward stroke of the operating member.

The beak includes a beak peripheral wall having a distal end located at the forward side with respect to a rotation direction of the rotating hook. The distal end faces the opening. The beak peripheral wall is located at the outer peripheral side of the sliding surface. The beak further includes a beak body formed integrally with the beak peripheral wall and protruding inward from the beak peripheral wall so as to be located in the vicinity of a lower part of the sliding surface. The beak peripheral wall has an inner peripheral surface of the distal end formed with an inclined surface inclined forwardly outward with respect to the rotation direction of the rotating hook.
