摘要: An ultrasonic wave nebulizer for converting water or liquid to mist has a disc-shaped piezoelectric vibrator (TD) which has a pair of surfaces one of which is defined as an operation surface. A thin plate (21) having a plurality of small holes or mesh is located close to the operation surface so that a gap or a thin water or liquid film is defined between the mesh and the operation surface. The gap spacing is smaller than the diameter of a water drop which is composed by surface tension of water where no mesh is located. Upon excitation of the vibrator with high frequency power, the water film is converted to mist. The exciting frequency is almost the same as the resonant frequency of the vibrator. The high frequency power is intermittent having duty ratio (D.sub.ON /D) in the range from 10% to 70% so that instantaneous exciting power is high to facilitate water to mist conversion while average power is low to keep temperature at the operation surface low. The present nebulizer has many applications, including medical inhaler, a toy which generates pseudo smoke, etc. (FIG. 3)

摘要: A heater for heating a liquid in which the electrical contact between a PTC thermistor and electrode plates is surely realized, and the thermal coupling and the thermal efficiency are excellent. In a case 1, an internal space 13 has an opening 14 at one side portion, and the whole of the periphery of the case is closed except the opening 14. A pair of electrode plates 21 and 22 have projections 211 and 221 on faces 212 and 222, and are housed in the internal space 13 of the case 1 in such a manner that their other faces 223 are opposed to heat radiating faces 11 and 12. The PTC thermistors are disposed between the electrode plates 21 and 22 in such a manner that projections 211 and 221 are contacted with the electrodes 32 and 33, respectively. Thermal conductive fillers 41 and 42 made of a resin are charged between the electrodes 32 and 33 of the PTC thermistors 3 and the electrode plates 21 and 22 so as to fill the gaps which are formed by the projections 211 and 221.

摘要: In an ultrasonic wave nebulizer having a piezoelectric vibrator (1) at the bottom of a water container for exciting ultrasonic vibration of water on the water surface to convert water to mist, a flat plate (16) having a center aperture (15) is provided above the vibrator (1) with a spacing (Z) between the plate (16) and the vibrator (1), so that the aperture (15) is positioned above the center of the vibrator (1). The plate (16) has no further apertures except the center aperture (15). The diameter (D) of the aperture (15) is smaller than the diameter (A) of the vibrator (1). The presence of the aperture (15) above the vibrator (1) improves the performance of the nebulizer, and increases the generation of mist.
