    摘要: Process for producing a fiber reinforced plastics linear material like a tension member for optical communication cables. A groove capable of accomodating an optical fiber is formed in the outer surface of the tension member. In accordance with the conventional method, the groove is necessarily formed in parallel along the axial direction of the tension member and, therefore, if the tension member is bent in the state that the optical fiber is placed in the groove, a force due to bending is applied directly to the optical fiber and the transmission loss of the optical fiber is increased. In accordance with the present invention, a tension member for optical communication cables in which groove is twisted in the spiral form relative to the axial direction of the groove is produced by (1) passing a resin impregnated glass fiber through a molding die heated and then passing it through a curing zone while applying a twisting force, or (2) after completely curing the resin, passing through a heating zone independently provided and during this passage, applying a twisting force. Even if this tension member is bent in the state that an optical fiber is placed in the groove, almost no twisting force is applied to the optical fiber.

A cellular telephone outputs coded voice data and also supplies uncoded voice sample data to a switching center while a telephone call is not made. Based on voice data used for the previous calculation processing and newly input voice data, the switching center performs calculation processing for quality-improving data for improving the quality of voice to be output from a cellular telephone that receives the coded voice data. The switching center stores the optimal quality-improving data as a user information database in association with the cellular telephone. The cellular telephone decodes the coded voice data based on the optimal quality-improving data supplied from the switching center.

The speech of high sound quality is higher in sound quality than the synthesized sound. The device includes a prediction tap extracting unit (45) for extracting, from the synthesized sound, the prediction taps used for predicting the speech of high sound quality, as target speech, the prediction values of which are to be found, and a class tap extraction unit (46) for extracting class taps, used for classifying the target speech to one of a plurality of classes, from the above code. The device also includes a classification unit (47) for finding the class of the target speech based on the class taps, acquisition unit for acquiring the tap coefficients associated with the class of the target speech from among the tap coefficients as found on learning from class to class, and a prediction unit (49) for finding the prediction values of the target speech using the prediction taps and the tap coefficients associated with the class of the target speech.
