摘要： A method of making synthetic polymer pellet feedstock having a high concentration of an anti-microbial agent includes the steps of: introducing a polymer into a mixing vessel; introducing a polysiloxane dispersant into the mixing vessel; introducing an anti-microbial agent comprised of a powdered metal material into the mixing vessel; heating and mixing the polymer, the polysiloxane dispersant and the anti-microbial agent to form a molten blend that exhibits a generally homogenous dispersal of the anti-microbial agent; extruding the molten blend to form filaments; and cutting the filaments to form metalized synthetic polymer pellet feedstock. The powdered metal material includes particles of silver in metallic or salt form measuring between about 2 micrometers and about 12 micrometers and particles of copper in metallic or salt form measuring between about 2 micrometers and about 12 micrometers.

摘要： A continuous flow dryer system according to various embodiments can include a source for supplying a material to be treated having a high moisture content, such as a distiller wet grain, a profile screw compression dryer, a profile screw, and a drive coupled to the profile screw for axially rotating the profile screw. The profile screw compression dryer includes an inlet for receiving the material for drying, which is fed therein in a controlled manner. The profile screw is provided within the housing of the dryer. The profile screw has a diameter that increases in dimension in a direction away from the inlet for increasing the compressive force applied to the material to assist with drying as the profile screw rotates and moves the material longitudinally along the profile screw to produce a final product, for example, a distiller dried grain for use as an animal feed.

摘要： A sealing strand for producing a seal by connection of the sealing thread with a strand seat that extends along a gap to be sealed, wherein the sealing strand has a tape region provided for bonding to the strand seat. During stretching of the sealing strand in the longitudinal direction of the strand, the tensile stress corresponding to the stretching in the tape region is at least partly compensated or capable of being compensated. This is achieved by the strand region being connected under compression with the remaining sealing strand.

摘要： The present disclosure provides a method of manufacturing a composite material. The method can include compacting a copper alloy powder into a plurality of substantially uniform compressed sub-assemblies such that the copper alloy powder has a density that is greater than 50%. The plurality of compressed sub-assemblies can be layered relative one another within an aperture of a shell, the plurality of compressed sub-assemblies to form a consecutive assembly of compacted copper alloy. The shell may include one of the following: a precipitation hardened copper alloy, copper alloy, and carbon steel. The consecutive assembly can be sealed within the shell to form a billet. The billet can be hot-extruded to form a rod, and the extruded rod can be further drawn to form a composite wire of a desired diameter. The composite wire may be used to create a composite welding electrode.
