    摘要: A flat display apparatus and a driving method therefor are disclosed wherein an image having a pseudo gradation is displayed and peripheral circuits for a driving method based on frame rate control can be formed integrally on an insulating substrate to assure reliable operation. In the flat display apparatus, image data are distributed into a plurality of systems in response to a variation pattern of a gradation of pixels such that variation patterns of the gradations of corresponding pixels in each system are same as each other, and the image data of the systems are outputted. Then, for each system, in response to a logic value of lower order side bit of the image data, a logic value of the signal pattern indicating the variation pattern is added to the high order side bits to modulate the image data of the systems to produce modulation data.
