摘要： A method for switching from playing a first compressed data segment to playing a second compressed recorded data segment, the method including playing an uncompressed copy of a start of the second compressed recorded data segment upon switching from playing the first compressed data segment, decoding the second compressed recorded data segment from a preceding random access point, the preceding random access point preceding, in the second compressed recorded data segment, a point at which playing is to be switched to the second compressed recorded data segment, stopping the decoding of the second compressed recorded data segment when reaching a point beyond a point currently being played in the uncompressed copy, and switching to playing the second compressed recorded data segment when playing the uncompressed copy of a start of the second compressed recorded data segment reaches the point at which the decoding of the second compressed recorded data segment was stopped. 摘要： A system and method providing for a service provider, acting as agent for one or more community banks to offer indexed certificates of deposit (ICDs) at an upfront, fixed cost, which have the benefits of an upside return opportunity, no downside risk, and FDIC insurance for qualified accounts. Customers' funds are deposited with the banking institution, then a portion of the funds are directed through an escrow agent to a hedge provider in exchange for an option to pay the portion of the appreciation of the index, if any, on the ICDs. At maturity, the hedge provider pays the proportionate appreciation, if any, to the escrow agent, who in turn sends the appropriate portion of the appreciation to the participating bank institutions. The bank institutions then forward the appreciation, along with the initial purchase price of the ICDs, on to the customer.

摘要： A vehicle safety system that is mounted within a vehicle and operably coupled thereto wherein the safety system inhibits operation of the vehicle during the presence of an accessible cellular phone. The present invention includes a controller that is operably coupled to at least two operation systems of the vehicle such as but not limited to the ignition system and the transmission system. A scanner is present within the passenger cabin and is configured to detect the presence of a cellular phone. A plurality of storage compartments are mounted within the vehicle and have at least one sensor disposed therein. The storage compartments are equipped with locking mechanisms wherein the locking mechanisms are further operably coupled to the controller. The controller must receive a first signal from the sensor and second signal from the locking mechanism to permit operation of the vehicle.
