Abstract: A swallowing sensor that is attached to a person's pharyngeal portion and that measures the person's swallowing ability includes: a film-shaped detector that detects vibration based on displacement and sound of the pharyngeal portion; an adhesive layer that is provided on one of two main sides of the detector and that attaches the detector to the pharyngeal portion; and a sensing film arranged on the detector to cover entirety of the other main side of the detector, wherein a main side of the sensing film that contacts the detector contains an adhesive component, the sensing film is attachable to the pharyngeal portion around the detector using the adhesive component, and the sensing film conveys vibration to the detector. Accordingly, the swallowing ability can be more accurately measured.

Abstract: A measuring device is provided for reducing the occurrence of damage to a sensor section. The sensor section includes a substrate, a pair of comb electrodes on a first principal surface, and a pair of back-side electrodes disposed on a second principal surface and corresponding to the pair of comb electrodes, respectively. The pair of comb electrodes includes a plurality of tooth sections and connection sections that connect the tooth sections to each other, respectively. The substrate includes via-hole conductors in positions corresponding to the tooth sections inside a region surrounded by the outer tooth sections on opposite ends in a direction in which the tooth sections in the pair of comb electrodes are aligned and the connection sections. The via-hole conductors connect the comb electrodes and the back-side electrodes.

Abstract: A component main body has a multilayer structure having a thickness and in which a first dielectric glass layer in which an internal conductor is embedded and having a thickness is interposed between a pair of magnetic layers containing a ferrite material as a primary component, and each of a pair of second dielectric glass layers is disposed on one of principal surfaces of the pair of magnetic layers. First to fourth outer electrodes are disposed on both end portions of the component main body. The thickness of at least one of the pair of second dielectric glass layers that faces a mounting substrate is about 10 μm to 64 μm.

Abstract: A common mode choke coil includes an element body of laminated insulating layers; electrically insulated first and second coils in the element body; first and second outer electrodes on the element body electrically connected to ends of the first coil; and third and fourth outer electrodes on the element body electrically connected to ends of the second coil. The first coil includes first to third coil conductors on first to third insulating layers. The second coil includes fourth to sixth coil conductor on fourth to sixth insulating layers. The second and third coil conductors are electrically connected via a via conductor overlapping at outer ends of the conductors. A dummy conductor overlapping the via conductor is provided on at least one of the first, fourth, fifth, and sixth insulating layers other than between the second and third insulating layers and electrically insulated from all the coil conductors.
