Abstract:
A communication system comprises: a physical machine; a switch control apparatus that controls a physical switch connected to the physical machine; and a virtual network management apparatus that manages a virtual network using the physical switch and at least one of the physical machine and a virtual machine operating on the physical machine. The physical machine comprises: a port information collection unit that collects port information of a NIC (Network Interface Card) assigned to the virtual network; and a port information notification unit that notifies the virtual network management apparatus of a correspondence between the NIC and the collected port information. The virtual network management apparatus instructs the switch control apparatus so that the physical switch uses the port information as a match condition.

A virtualization management/orchestration apparatus is provided with: a Network Function Virtualization Orchestrator (NFVO) that reads a Network Service Descriptor (NSD) in which an entry defining dependency between a VNF and a prescribed element is provided, and creates the VNF and the prescribed element according to the dependency defined in the NSD; and/or a VNF manager (VNFM) that reads a Virtualized Network Function Descriptor (VNFD) provided with an entry defining dependency between a VM and a prescribed element, and creates the VM and the prescribed element according to the dependency defined in the VNFD.

A virtual network function management apparatus includes: a virtual machine monitoring unit that detects a fault(s) in a virtual machine(s) operating on a virtualized infrastructure management unit that manages a virtualized infrastructure; and a control unit that instructs the virtualized infrastructure management unit to recreate a virtual machine(s) in which a fault(s) has occurred after an image file(s) of the virtual machine(s) in which the fault(s) has occurred is logically updated so that the image file(s) of the virtual machine(s) in which the fault(s) has occurred can be backed up.

Provided an inter-site network cooperation control apparatus connected to a network control apparatus in each of extension source and extension destination site of a virtual network that receives an extension request from the network control apparatus, notifies the network control apparatus in the extension destination site of an instruction to create a virtual network in the extension destination site, and notifies the network control apparatuses in the extension destination site and the extension source site of an instruction to create virtual ports for a tunnel between the sites, thus a communication connection being established between the virtual networks in the sites via the tunnel between the virtual ports for a tunnel.
