    Abstract: The present application relates to a cathode, an electrochemical device and an electronic device including the same. The cathode includes: a cathode current collector, a first cathode active material layer, a second cathode active material layer and an insulating layer; where the first cathode active material layer covers a first portion of a first surface of the cathode current collector, and the insulating layer covers a second portion of the first surface of the cathode current collector that is different from the first portion, where a first distance exists between the insulating layer and the first cathode active material layer in a longitudinal direction of the cathode current collector. By providing a gap between the active material layer in a two-layer structure and the insulating layer in the cathode, the potential problem of the overlapping of the active material layer in a two-layer structure and the insulating layer on the cathode is alleviated, thereby ensuring that the electrochemical device cannot catch fire and lead to failure in the event of being punctured, and further ensuring the mechanical safety performance of the electrochemical device.

    Abstract: An electrochemical device includes a cathode current collector, a first cathode active material layer, a second cathode active material layer and an insulating layer. The first cathode active material layer covers a first portion of a first surface of the cathode current collector, and the insulating layer covers a second portion of the first surface of the cathode current collector that is different from the first portion. A first distance exists between the insulating layer and the first cathode active material layer in a longitudinal direction of the cathode current collector. By providing a gap between the active material layer in a two-layer structure and the insulating layer in the cathode, thereby ensuring the mechanical safety performance of the electrochemical device.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a cell and a battery, wherein the cell comprises a body including a first electrode tab; and a choke that triggers after the temperature reaches a certain value to reduce the current passing through it; the choke is electrically connected to the first electrode tab, and a product of the length of connection path from the choke to the first electrode tab and a cooling coefficient of the connection path is smaller than a difference between a first temperature of the first electrode tab and a second temperature of the choke, wherein the second temperature of the choke is a temperature when the choke is triggered. In the above-mentioned cell, if the trigger action of the choke is timely, the body of the cell can be prevented from reaching the overcharge state, and the choke in the above-mentioned cell can further effectively protect the cell.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a technical field of cells, and discloses a protection device and a battery. The protection device includes: a first connecting member; a second connecting member; a first element; and an elastic sheet. When the elastic sheet has a temperature lower than a first temperature, the elastic sheet is connected to at least one of the first connecting member and the second connecting member; when the temperature of the elastic sheet is equal to the first temperature, the elastic sheet is deformed to allow the first connecting member, the second connecting member, the elastic sheet and the first element to form a series circuit. When the protection device is not triggered, the temperature of the elastic sheet is lower than the first temperature, and the elastic sheet is connected to at least one of the first connecting member and the second connecting member.

    Abstract: An impact resistant wound cell comprises a first electrode plate with a first surface and a second surface. The first surface comprises a first active material area and a first current collector area, the second surface comprises a second active material area and a second current collector area. The first current collector area is located on an inner side of an outermost circle of the wound cell. In the first electrode plate, the second current collector area and the first current collector area are adjacent to and opposite to each other, the first current collector area and the second current collector area are bonded together by a first bonding member. The present disclosure further provides a battery using the wound cell.

    Abstract: The present application relates to the field of battery, discloses an electrode-assembly and a battery, wherein the electrode-assembly includes a body with a first wall and a current blocker arranged on the first wall. The first wall of the body is close to the internal structure of the body, and its temperature is relatively close to the internal temperature of the body as compared with the seal side of the electrode-assembly; in above electrode-assembly, since the current blocker is directly attached to the first wall of the body, the heat inside the body can be quickly conducted to the current blocker through the first wall, so the current blocker of the electrode-assembly can be triggered more timely to reduce or cut off the current for effectively protecting the electrode-assembly.
