    Abstract: An electrochemical device includes a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, and an electrolyte. The positive electrode plate includes a positive electrode active layer, the positive electrode active layer includes a positive electrode active material, and the positive electrode active material includes an additive.     Abstract: An electrochemical device, including a positive electrode plate. The positive electrode plate includes a positive active material layer. When the electrochemical device is in a fully discharged state, an X-ray diffraction pattern of the positive active material layer exhibits a first diffraction peak and a second diffraction peak in a range of 17.8° to 19.2°. A diffraction angle of the first diffraction peak is smaller than a diffraction angle of the second diffraction peak. The electrochemical device achieves an increased energy density and improved cycle performance.
