    Abstract: The present application relates to a cathode material and an electrochemical device comprising the same. The cathode material comprises a matrix and a coating layer. The matrix comprises a cathode active material capable of reversibly intercalating or deintercalating lithium ions, and the coating layer comprises an organic material having a general formula X—R—CnFaClb, wherein R is a hydrocarbyl and X is a siloxane group. The coating layer can not only reduce the side reaction between the electrolyte and the cathode active material in the electrochemical device, but can also act as a lithium ion conductor layer to accelerate the intercalating or deintercalating of the lithium ions. Therefore, the cathode material coated by the above coating layer has excellent rate performance and impedance characteristics while having excellent cycle stability.

    Abstract: A cathode material includes: a plurality of first particles. Each first particle includes a secondary particle composed of a plurality of third particles, and the first particle includes a first lithium-containing transition metal oxide; and a plurality of second particles. The second particle includes a fourth particle and/or a secondary particle composed of a plurality of fourth particles, and the second particle includes a second lithium-containing transition metal oxide. The electrochemical device including the cathode material is significantly improved in the aspects of energy density, capacity attenuation and service life.

    Abstract: A cathode includes a current collector, a first material layer and a second material layer. The first material layer includes a first material. The second material layer includes a second material. The second material includes at least one of the followings compounds: phosphate represented by a general formula M1PO4 and lithium titanium phosphate represented by a general formula Li3Ti2-x M2x(PO4)3, and the second material layer is disposed between the current collector and the first material layer. The cathode of the present application is provided with a double-layer structure including at least one of phosphate and lithium titanium phosphate to avoid direct contact between the current collector in the cathode and an anode material layer and optimize the stability of the first material layer, so that the cycle performance, electrochemical stability and safety performance of the electrochemical device are significantly improved.
