    Abstract: A transmission device includes a frame processing unit, a redundant channel processing unit, a transmission and reception unit, and a channel selection unit. The frame processing unit generates division frames, adds error detection signals to the division frames, and outputs the division frames to which the error detection signals are added to a plurality of data channels. The redundant channel processing unit generates, from the division frames, one or more redundant frames including restoration information that enables restoration of the division frames, and outputs the generated redundant frames to a data channel. The transmission and reception unit outputs the division frames and the redundant frames to a transmission line. The channel selection unit allocates the division frames and the redundant frames to allocable transmission and reception units.

    Abstract: A virtual environment optical communication network is generated by setting configuration parameters of physical packages of a real environment optical communication network in package emulators that a computer program has virtually constructed to implement the physical packages, the real environment optical communication network being constructed by a plurality of node devices in which the physical packages are mounted, pieces of configuration data are generated based on pieces of resource data indicating resources required for optical paths detected based on acquired configuration parameters and a requested transmission mode, optical paths are set in the virtual environment optical communication network based on the generated pieces of configuration data, and optical paths are set in the real environment optical communication network based on the pieces of configuration data that have been used to set the optical paths.

    Abstract: The present disclosure has an object of proposing a method and a device for estimating the state of a transmission path or an optical transmitter capable of mechanically estimating a factor causing an error with a small amount of constellation data and a low computing amount. The present disclosure provides a device for estimating a state of optical communication, the device including: a data preprocessing unit that reduces the number of data using random sampling with respect to constellation data in which an amplitude and a phase of optical communication data are represented by a polar coordinate diagram and performs distribution calculation and a dimension reduction; a learning unit that learns a dictionary matrix in sparse coding using learning constellation data processed by the data preprocessing unit; and a recognition unit that calculates a sparse coefficient using recognition constellation data processed by the data preprocessing unit and the dictionary matrix learned by the learning unit and estimates a factor causing degradation of the optical communication using the calculated sparse coefficient.

    Abstract: A communication system includes three or more nodes and a multi-core fiber having a plurality of cores, the multi-core fiber being used in at least a partial segment of the connection between the nodes is provided. One node of the nodes is connected to the multi-core fiber and includes a connector configured to add and drop a signal to and from an allocated core exclusively allocated from among the cores as a communication path between the one node and another node of the nodes and/or configured to relay a signal transmitted through another core of the cores allocated for communication between other nodes in the multi-core fiber connected to the one node, and a relative positional relationship between a connection position of the allocated core in which a signal is added or dropped in the connector and a connection position of another core in which a signal is relayed in the connector is the same for all of the nodes connected to the multi-core fiber.

    Abstract: An output port switching unit that connects to a first optical transmission path, a second optical transmission path, and the connection information processor, and sets a destination of the first optical transmission path as the connection information processor in an initial state. A controller that transmits transmission mode information indicating a transmission mode identified based on connection information of the first optical transmission path acquired from an optical signal transmitted by an optical transceiver provided in an optical communicator that the connection information processor connects to the first optical transmission path, connection request data included in the optical signal and transmitted by the optical transceiver, and transmission path information of the second optical transmission path to the optical transceiver through the first optical transmission path. The output port switching unit performs switching processing of switching a destination of the first optical transmission path from the connection information processor to the second optical transmission path after the controller transmits the transmission mode information.
