    摘要: An item of ONU equipment configures itself to communicate by a first transport system with OLT equipment in an optical access network, and starts a synchronisation for the first transport system and transmits by means of the first transport system. The ONU equipment transmits, via a protocol layer supervising any transport system of the optical access network, without waiting for the end of the synchronisation for the first transport system, information dependent on identifiers of the user equipment and the first transport system. When the transport system to be used is not the first transport system, the protocol layer supervising any transport system of the optical access network interrupts the synchronisation at the OLT equipment, and the ONU equipment reattempts the synchronisation with a second transport system; otherwise the synchronisation continues for the first transport system until the ONU equipment is put in communication in the optical access network.

The method includes: when the optical module is connected to the host assembly, identifying a particular type of supply voltage, among the different types of the supply voltages, that the optical module is configured to accept; selecting, among different power modes available to the host assembly that are respectively compatible with the different types of the supply voltages, a particular power mode that is compatible with the particular type of the supply voltage; and operating in the particular power mode to provide the particular type of the supply voltage to the optical module.

    摘要: Provided is a single-fiber bi-directional optical transceiver sub-assembly capable of improving the wavelength separation characteristics of a multiplexing/demultiplexing filter while also attaining a compact size. A single-fiber bi-directional optical transceiver sub-assembly is provided with a housing, an optical receptacle, a multiplexing/demultiplexing filter, a receiving-side photoelectric converter, a transmitting-side photoelectric converter, an isolator, and a collimating lens. The multiplexing/demultiplexing filter is disposed on the optical path between the optical receptacle and the transmitting-side photoelectric converter and on the optical path between the optical receptacle and the receiving-side photoelectric converter. The isolator passes optical signals outputted from the transmitting-side photoelectric converter and blocks optical signals proceeding to the transmitting-side photoelectric converter. The collimating lens is disposed at a position that fits into the external size of the housing, and collimates incident light on the multiplexing/demultiplexing filter.

    摘要: An apparatus having input and output ports using a plurality of optical connector adapters, wherein the fiber connections can follow a specific mesh pattern has a plurality of fibers inside the apparatus. The fibers pass through at least one mandrel and are designed to produce a leakage in the transmitted light from each fiber of least −30 dBm, wherein the fiber buffer of fibers around the mandrel are partially stripped in at least one section. The apparatus also has an imaging system consisting of at least a lens, camera sensor and an optical filter are placed in proximity to the fiber striped section wherein the optical filter has spectral properties tuned or partially tuned to the operational wavelength of the network and the optical filter is placed in the light path before the camera sensor.
