    Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of enhancing a report for random access channel (RACH). The method comprises in accordance with a determination that a random access attempt in a random access process for accessing a second device based on configuration information is performed, determining an entry for recording the random access attempt, the entry at least comprising fallback information indicating whether a change associated with the random access attempt has occurred; generating a report for the random access process at least based on the entry; and causing the report to be transmitted to the second device. In this way, with the UE RACH report, the network device may achieve a targeted optimization for the configuration for RA process, which may improve the efficiency of the RA process and decrease the cost due to a multiple of fallback.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to contention resolution in random access procedure. A first device transmits to a second device a random access request comprising a first identification of the first device. The first device receives a response to the random access request from the second device. The response comprises a second identification from the second device for the first device and control information indicating a resource for communication between the first device and the second device. The first device compares the second identification with the first identification to determine data to be transmitted by using the indicated resource.

    Abstract: A method includes determining whether a downlink beam signal is being received from a base station (502); when the downlink beam signal is being received from the base station, determining whether a measurable property of the downlink beam signal does not meet a preselected threshold (504); when the downlink beam signal is not being received from the base station or when the measurable property of the downlink beam signal does not meet the preselected threshold, transmitting a message to the base station indicating that at least one uplink beam corresponding to the downlink beam has failed (506); and receiving a reply message from the base station with information required to determine a new uplink beam (508). An alternative method includes determining whether at least one uplink beam signal is being received from a user equipment (602); determining whether a measurable property of the at least one uplink beam signal does not meet a preselected threshold, when the at least one uplink beam signal is being received from the user equipment (604); and transmitting a message to the user equipment to initiate uplink beam recovery, when at least one uplink beam signal is not being received from the user equipment or when the measurable property of the at least one uplink beam signal does not meet the preselected threshold (606).
