    Abstract: Described herein are an apparatus, system, and method for detecting light. An apparatus can include means for modulating an input beam of light wherein the input beam of light is obtained from an optical coherence tomography arrangement; means for dispersing the modulated beam of light; and means for detecting the dispersed beam of light and converting the detected beam of light into an electrical output signal. An apparatus can include a modulator configured to spatially modulate light; a dispersing element configured to disperse modulated light, and a detector configured to detect dispersed light and convert the detected light into electrical output signals. A method can include spatially modulating a beam of light, dispersing the modulated beam of light, detecting the dispersed beam of light, converting the detecting beam of light into electrical output signals, and providing a three-dimensional image of at least a part of an object.

    Abstract: An apparatus is provided that includes a detector configured to detect, separately during separate exposure periods of multiple exposure periods, spatially modulated light. The apparatus also includes a spatial modulator configured to apply a different spatial modulation to received light separately during separate exposure periods of the multiple exposure periods, to produce spatially modulated light. The apparatus further includes one or more optical elements configured to condense the spatially modulated light for detection by the detector.     Abstract: An apparatus is provided that includes a detector configured to detect, cumulatively during an exposure period, spatially modulated light. The apparatus also includes modulation means for applying multiple different effective spatial modulations to received light, during the exposure period. A different effective spatial modulation is applied to received light in dependence upon a time during the exposure period of the detector and a frequency of the light, to produce spatially modulated light for detection by the detector.

    Abstract: A method is provided for decompressing images captured by a compressive imaging system in conjunction with a compressive imaging application. The method comprises determining an estimation error et based on a difference between: (i) a measurement y captured by the compressive imaging system and (ii) a product of a sensing matrix H and a signal xt that has been estimated. The method comprises determining a gradient descent st+1 based on a sum of: (i) the signal xt that has been estimated and (ii) a product of a step size μ, a vector formulation of the sensing matrix HT and the estimation error et. The method comprises projecting the gradient descent st+1 comprising applying a compression function f and a decompression function g to estimate the signal xt+1. The method comprises iteratively repeating determining the estimation error et; determining the gradient descent st+1 and projecting the gradient descent st+1 to provide a reconstructed signal following a final iteration; and providing the reconstructed signal for display or storage.
