Abstract: A method of gray level adjustment for an image data generator includes receiving a plurality of image frames including a first image frame and a second image frame next to the first image frame, wherein the first image frame includes a first input subpixel data corresponding to a first subpixel of a display panel and the second image frame includes a second input subpixel data corresponding to the first subpixel; with respect to the first input subpixel data, outputting a first gray level data of a first gamma lookup table as a first output subpixel data; and with respect to the second input subpixel data, outputting a second gray level data of a second gamma lookup table as a second output subpixel data. The first output subpixel data and the second output subpixel data are corresponding to the first subpixel of the display panel.

Abstract: A driver circuit is coupled to a dual cell panel having a first cell and a second cell superposed on each other. The driver circuit includes a second cell processor and a first cell processor. The second cell processor is configured to generate a gray scale data for the second cell. The first cell processor includes a pixel data compensation circuit and a white tracking compensation circuit. The pixel data compensation circuit is configured to compensate an image data for the first cell according to a brightness of the image data. The white tracking compensation circuit is configured to compensate the image data for the first cell according to a color temperature of the gray scale data.

Abstract: An image adjustment method comprises: generate a grayscale value of a target pixel by weighted averaging a plurality of input sub-pixel data of the target pixel; calculate an average of grayscale values of all pixels comprising the target pixel in a first window to generate a foreground value of the target pixel; calculate an average of grayscale values of all pixels comprising the target pixel in a second window to generate a background value of the target pixel; according to the foreground value of the target pixel and the background value of the target pixel, obtain a just-noticeable difference value in a look-up table as a grayscale difference value; generate an adjusted grayscale value of the target pixel according to the grayscale difference value; and generate a plurality of output sub-pixel data according to the plurality of input sub-pixel data of the target pixel and the adjusted grayscale value.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a backlight control method for motion blur reduction, a backlight module and a display apparatus using the same. The backlight control method includes the following steps. An input frame including image blocks is received. A brightness level of each of the image blocks is determined to accordingly determine a local dimming value of each backlight block, where the backlight blocks respectively correspond to the image blocks. A boosted backlight value and a dimmed backlight value for each of the backlight blocks are computed according to the local dimming values. The backlight blocks are driven according to the boosted backlight values and the dimmed backlight values in a time sequence.
