Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a Controller Area Network, CAN, controller, comprising: an input interface, a transmit data, TXD, interface, and a processing unit, wherein the input interface is coupled to the processing unit, wherein the processing unit is configured to receive via the input interface a data packet comprising a packet priority field, a packet payload field, wherein the processing unit is configured to generate a first CAN frame based on the data packet, such that a first payload field of the first CAN frame represents at least the packet payload field and a first identifier field of the first CAN frame comprises a first identifier part and a second identifier part, wherein the first identifier part represents predefined data for identifying the CAN controller, and wherein the second identifier part represents the packet priority field and/or comprises a queue field representing a queue priority for the first CAN frame, wherein the processing unit is coupled to the TXD interface, and wherein the processing unit is configured to send the first CAN frame via the TXD interface. The present invention also relates to a CAN device and a method for the CAN controller.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a controller area network, CAN, transceiver and a CAN controller. The CAN transceiver is configured to: compare a signal from the CAN bus with a negative threshold level; and provide a wake-up indication to the CAN controller based on the signal matching a predetermined pattern of one or more periods in which the signal is less than the negative threshold level. Abstract: Embodiments of a device and method are disclosed. A controller area network (CAN) device includes a compare module configured to interface with a CAN transceiver, the compare module having a receive data (RXD) interface configured to receive data from the CAN transceiver, a CAN decoder configured to decode an identifier of a CAN message received from the RXD interface, and an identifier memory configured to store an entry that corresponds to at least one identifier, and compare logic configured to compare a received identifier from a CAN message to the entry that is stored in the identifier memory and to output a match signal when the comparison indicates that the received identifier of the CAN message matches the entry that is stored at the CAN device. The CAN device also includes a signal generator configured to output, in response to the match signal, a signal to invalidate the CAN message.

Abstract: Embodiments of a method, a device and a computer-readable storage medium are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method for operating a Controller Area Network (CAN) device involves detecting a transition of a CAN transceiver of the CAN device from a dominant state to a recessive state and in response to detecting a transition of the CAN transceiver from the dominant state to the recessive state, controlling an output impedance of the CAN transceiver to be within a predefined range of an impedance value at the dominant state while a differential driver voltage on a CAN bus connected to the CAN transceiver decreases to a predefined voltage.
