摘要: According to one embodiment, a sheet processing device includes a jogger fence configured to carry out a crosswise direction alignment to a stack of image formed sheets ejected from an image forming apparatus, a rear end fence acting as a lengthwise reference edge, a stapling device configured to staple the aligned sheet stack, a discharge belt configured to move the stapled sheet stack to a sheet ejection tray, and a controller to control movement of the jogger fence during the sheet stack being moved by the discharge belt so as to move the jogger fence more than once between a position where the jogger fence does not contact the edge of the sheet stack and a position where the jogger fence pressing contact the edge of the sheet stack.

摘要: An image forming apparatus of an embodiment of the invention includes a pair of conveyance rollers to nip and convey a sheet on which a formed image is recorded, a turning amount detection section which is disposed downstream of the pair of conveyance rollers and includes a bearing section coming in contact with the sheet, a thickness detection section to detect a thickness of the sheet based on a turning amount detected by the turning amount detection section, a pair of register rollers which is disposed downstream of the bearing section and aligns the sheet, and an image recording and fixing section to record and fix the image on the sheet passing through the pair of register rollers. A distance from a center point of a contact portion of the pair of conveyance rollers to a point where the bearing section contacts with the sheet is zero or more and about 3 mm or less.

摘要: A sheet finishing apparatus according to an embodiment includes a discharge opening from which a sheet is discharged in an operation mode other than a manual stapling mode, and through which a bundle of sheets is manually inserted inside the discharge opening in the manual stapling mode, a stapler that is disposed inside the discharge opening and binds the bundle of sheets inserted from the discharge opening with staples, and a transverse alignment plate that aligns the sheet discharged from the discharge opening in a sheet discharge direction in the operation mode other than the manual stapling mode, and guides the bundle of sheets inserted from the discharge opening to a position of the stapler in the manual stapling mode. The transverse alignment plate emits light or exhibits fluorescence.
