    摘要: Expansion enable/disable information expressing enable or disable of the expansion of an air bag at an assistant driver's seat is input from a cut-off switch, and the expansion enable/disable information is once retained in a register in a CPU. If an acceleration detected by a G-sensor and applied to a motor vehicle exceeds 2G for example, then any change in the expansion enable/disable information retained in the register of the CPU is inhibited by the CPU itself; and thus a change of the expansion enable/disable information retained in the register is inhibited even though the expansion enable/disable information input to the cut-off switch has been changed by the force majeure during the collision of the motor vehicle. Thus, any erroneous expansion of the air bag by the acceleration can be prevented during collision as long as the expansion inhibit state is continuing.

The signal reading processor alternately reads odd-line image-pixel signals and even-line image-pixel signals over one-frame reading interval, when forming a still image on the basis of one frame worth of image-pixel signals generated by a one-time exposure. The shading member blocks the illuminating light. The driver selectively arranges the shading member at a non-shading position that enable the illuminating light to pass and at a shading position that blocks the light. The driving controller controls the driver by a sequence of pulse signals so as to position the shading member at the shading position for a shading-interval in the one-frame reading interval, and so as to position the shading member at the non-shading position for a remaining reading-interval.

While the still-image processor reads the odd-line and even-line image-pixel signals over the two field intervals, the provisional image displayer displays a provisional image on the basis of at least one of odd-field image-pixel signals and even-field image-pixel signals, which are obtained by an exposure before the still image exposure.
