    摘要: An interior mirror system includes an interior rearview mirror assembly having an imaging sensor and a reconfigurable display. Information displayed by the reconfigurable display, when the reconfigurable display is backlit by a plurality of white light light emitting diodes, is viewable through the reflective element by a driver of the vehicle. The mirror assembly includes at least one photo sensor and a control responsive to the photo sensor and operable to distinguish between daytime and nighttime lighting conditions. The control is operable to vary the intensity of information displayed by the display as viewed through the reflective element by the driver of the vehicle. When the reconfigurable display is backlit by the plurality of light emitting diodes during daytime lighting conditions, the control is operable to adjust the intensity of displayed information to at least about 1000 cd/m2 as viewed through the reflective element by the driver of the vehicle.

    摘要: An interior mirror system suitable for use in a vehicle comprises an interior rearview mirror assembly with an information display disposed within the housing and behind the reflective element and viewable through the reflective element by a driver of the equipped vehicle viewing the reflective element when the interior rearview mirror assembly is normally mounted to an interior portion of the equipped vehicle. A control is responsive to a photo sensor and operable to distinguish between daytime and nighttime lighting conditions. The control is operable to vary the intensity of the information displayed by the information display as viewed through the reflective element by the driver of the equipped vehicle. When the information display is operating during daytime lighting conditions, the control may adjust the intensity of the displayed information to at least about 1000 cd/m2 as viewed through the reflective element by the driver of the equipped vehicle.

    摘要: An interior mirror system suitable for use in a vehicle comprises an interior rearview mirror assembly having a mirror support assembly adapted for attachment to an interior portion of the vehicle. The interior rearview mirror assembly further comprises an imaging sensor. An electrochromic reflective mirror element is disposed in a housing with its the rearward field of view pivotally adjustable about the mirror support assembly via a pivot element when the interior rearview mirror assembly is attached by the mirror support assembly at an interior portion of the vehicle. Electronic circuitry that includes a compass sensor is disposed within the housing to the rear of the reflective mirror element and the electronic circuitry includes a microprocessor that at least partially controls automatic dimming of the reflectivity of the reflective mirror element in response to glare conditions detected by at least one photo sensor. The microprocessor also at least partially establishes a heading of the vehicle in response to input from said compass sensor and the microprocessor at least partially controls a headlight of the vehicle in response to detection of at least one of an oncoming headlight of another vehicle and a taillight of another vehicle by the imaging sensor.

    摘要: A machine to turn on the occupancy sensor(s) of a motor vehicle using a temperature sensing element. The temperature element senses a dangerously high temperature in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle and energizes the occupancy sensors. The occupancy sensors energize for a time period sufficient to determine the presence or absence of an occupant. If no occupant is detected, the occupancy sensors de-energize after a set period of time. If an occupant is detected, an audible alarm is enabled to draw attention to the motor vehicle. Once the alarm is active, a key must be used to reset it. If no occupant is detected each operation of a door switch will cause an additional sensing provided the temperature remains dangerously high. This logic is only energized or enabled when a passenger compartment is dangerously high.
