摘要: A connector apparatus having a coupling detecting function which has a highly reliable electric connection between the coupling detecting electrical contact elements. The connector apparatus includes a resilient locking arm and a cooperable engaging element provided on first and second housings, respectively. A pair of coupling detecting contact elements are disposed in a movement-permitting spacing of the first housing for the locking arm, and each has a contact portion which is displaced in response to displacement of the locking arm. A short-circuiting contact element is secured to the engaging element. When the two housings are coupled completely to each other, the coupling detecting contact elements are allowed to contact with the short-circulating element to establish an electrical connection between them. When the two housings are not coupled completely to each other, the engaging element displaces the locking arm to disengage the coupling detecting contact elements from the short-circuiting contact elements to interrupt an electrical connection between the coupling detecting contact element.

摘要: An incomplete fitting prevention connector wherein an insertion portion for a fixing bracket is provided at a female connector housing; a slide member is slidably provided on the female connector housing in abutment relation to a male connector housing inserted into the female connector housing; a retaining pawl is formed on the slider member so as to project to the insertion portion. Only when the male and female connectors are completely fitted together, the retaining portion of the slider member can be fitted relative to an engaging portion of the fixing bracket. Accordingly, the incomplete fitting between the male and female connector housing can be prevented.

摘要: In an electric connector, a terminal retainer prevents accidental locking of the terminal retainer in a connector housing by requiring two locking steps. The connector housing includes a lid member with a recess which mates with a step of a window which also is provided in the connector housing. The recess mates with the step at two different positions, the first of which is a provisional locking position. At the second position, a locking arm grips the lid member, while the recess mates with the step at the second position. This is a complete locking position.

摘要: An electrical connector has a protective cover which moves slidably between a first position, which exposes a plurality of metal terminals to corresponding portions of a printed circuit board, and a second position, which covers the terminals. Unless the connector is inserted properly, the protective cover will cover the terminals, preventing contact with the printed circuit board. A detecting piece on a mating connector housing the printed circuit contacts moves the protective cover when the connector is inserted into the mating connector.

摘要: A releasable connector for electric circuits is composed of a male connector housing and a female connector housing adapted to be fittable in each other. One of the connector housings is provided with a resilient short-circuit member while the other is provided with an insulator member. When the two parts are released from each other, the short-circuit member is resiliently urged against the upper surfaces of the terminals in the one connector housing so as to make a short circuit between the terminals. When the two housings are coupled together, the insulator member in the other connector housing wedges in between the short-circuit member and the terminals in the one connector housing so as to break the short circuit made therebetween. With this construction, it is ensured that any current being induced by and under the influence of external magnetic fields or electric fields or static electricity within the system to which the invention is applied is prevented from flowing through the associated circuit elements thus avoiding malfunctions of the elements.

The carrying speed of a recycled toner mixer is controlled according to a detection result. Consequently, when recycled toner density in a recycled-toner carrying chamber increases, the recycled toner mixer is rotated at high speed to discharge the recycled toner from the recycled-toner carrying chamber at high speed.
