    Abstract: An electrochemical device includes a jelly-roll electrode assembly and a packaging shell. The jelly-roll electrode assembly includes a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate, and a separator. The positive electrode plate includes a positive current collector, a first layer, and a second layer. The first layer includes inorganic particles. Based on a mass of the first layer, a mass percent of the inorganic particles is greater than or equal to 50%. The second layer includes a positive active material. A thickness of the first layer is d1 μm. An area of orthographic projection of the first layer is S1 mm2, an area of orthographic projection of the second layer is S2 mm2, satisfying: d1/S1≥2×10−6, and d1/S2≥2.5×10−6. The first layer is in contact with the packaging shell.
