    摘要： A two-equivalent magenta coupler forming magenta dye images in a color photographic material by a coupling reaction with an oxidation product of a primary aromatic amino color developing agent and having the formula (I) ##STR1## wherein [A] represents a residue of a magenta dye-forming coupler; ##STR2## represents a group which is substituted for one of the hydrogen atoms of the active methylene group of the coupler A; Z represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, or a heterocyclic group; B represents a --D-Y residue or an --N Q residue; D represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, or an --NR-- group; R of the --NR-- group represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or an aryl group; Y represents an alkyl group, an aryl group, or a heterocyclic group; Q of the --N Q residue represents a non-metal atomic group necessary for forming a 5-membered or 6-membered nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group; n is 1 or 2 and when n is 2, B can also represent a --Y group; a color photographic silver halide light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer and containing the two-equivalent magnetic coupler having the formula (I); and an image forming method comprising developing an exposed photographic silver halide light-sensitive material comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer is the presence of the two-equivalent magenta coupler having the formula (I).

    摘要： A method for improving the light fastness of a magenta color image in a silver halide color photograph which comprises incorporating into a layer containing a magenta color image, which is formed upon reaction of a magenta coupler and an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent, at least one light fastness improving phenolic compound and at least one synergistic light fastness improving agent selected from a sulfide or sulfoxide compound represented by the following general formula (V):x--b--y (v)wherein B represents --S-- or --SO--; X and Y, which may be the same or different, each represents --(CH.sub.2).sub.n --R.sub.1, ##STR1## or ##STR2## and R.sub.1 represents --COOR.sub.3, ##STR3## --OR.sub.6, --O--COR.sub.6, --NHSO.sub.2 R.sub.6, ##STR4## --NHCOR.sub.6, a cyano group, an aryl group or a hydroxy group; R.sub.2 represents an alkyl group of 1 to 30 carbon atoms, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, a hydroxy group, a cyano group or --COOR.sub.3 ; R.sub.3 R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group of 1 to 30 carbon atoms, an aryl group, or an aralkyl group, with the proviso that R.sub.6 is not a hydrogen atom; and n is an integer of 1 to 4. A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material which provides a magenta dye image having a good light fastness is also disclosed.

    摘要： A color photographic light-sensitive material having a silver halide emulsion layer containing a 1-phenyl-2-pyrazol-5-one magenta color-forming coupler, in which the 1-phenyl group of the coupler is substituted (1) with a R.sub.1 OOC-group, wherein R.sub.1 represents a group having about 8 to 26 carbon atoms, or (2) with a R.sub.2 OOC-group and a R.sub.3 OOC-group, wherein R.sub.2 and R.sub.3, which may be the same or different, each represents a group having about 4 to 18 carbon atoms; and in which the 3-position of the pyrazolone is substituted with an acylamino group, an ureido group, an alkoxy group, an amino group or an anilino group. The color photographic light-sensitive material provides stable magenta dye images having good spectral absorption characteristics.
