    摘要： An information transfer apparatus of the present invention is an information transfer apparatus including a network interface connected to a server that distributes data, via a network, and a USB interface connected to an information presentation apparatus that presents the data, the information transfer apparatus transferring the data distributed from the server to the information presentation apparatus; and the information transfer apparatus includes: a switch that enables or disables connection with the information presentation apparatus via the USB interface; and a control section that judges whether or not the data distributed from the server has been updated, enables connection with the information presentation apparatus by the switch to transfer the data to the information presentation apparatus only upon judging that the data has been updated, and, after transferring the data, disables the connection with the information presentation apparatus by the switch.

    摘要： A communication network management system has: a communication network including a plurality of nodes and a plurality of links connecting between the plurality of nodes; and a management computer that manages the communication network. The management computer has: a storage means in which a route information indicating a transfer route of frames in the communication network is stored; and a monitoring means configured to perform, based on the route information, transmission and reception of frames to and from the communication network. The monitoring means transmits a frame to the transfer route. Each of the plurality of nodes, when receiving a frame, not only forwards the received frame along the transfer route but also sends a reply to the management computer. The monitoring means identifies a location of failure occurrence on the transfer route, based on reception state of the reply from the plurality of nodes.

A management computer managing the communication network has a storage means, an entry control means and a monitoring means. A route information indicating a transfer route of frames in the communication network is stored in the storage means. The monitoring means performs, based on the route information, transmission and reception of frames to and from the communication network. The entry control means instructs each node to set up a forwarding table indicating a correspondence relationship between an input source and a forwarding destination of frames. More specifically, the entry control means instructs the each node to set up the forwarding table such that frames are forwarded along the transfer route indicated by the route information.

    摘要： A VPN connection method and a communication system are provided, each which can omit the setting of a firewall and the installation of a relay server and can establish communications from the outside of a firewall to the inside thereof. The internal network 2 is connected to the external network 1 via the firewall 13. The internal network 2 enables communications by an e-mail from the external network 1 (outside the firewall) to the mail server 21 in the internal network 2 (inside the firewall) or communications by telephone or radio, which is not via the firewall 3. The feature of the firewall 3 is utilized that access from the outside to the inside of the firewall through VPN connection is very difficult but the access in the reverse stream can be simply performed. Using the mail server, telephone line or radio line, the internal network 2 receives an e-mail, which requires for VPN connection from the external network 1, or control information through the telephone line. Thus, the internal network 2 sends callback for VPN connection to the e-mail transmission source. As a result, the callback allows the external network 1 to pass through the firewall 3.
