摘要： Increases in the data transfer rates of optical disc drives have resulted in problems such as increases in optical disc vibrations due to higher rotation speeds or increases in heat generation due to increases in the output of motors for rotating the optical discs and in the output of laser diodes. To solve such problems, an optical pickup is provided with an air duct therein, and a space that is formed between the optical disc and a top case of a casing and that has negative pressure during rotation of the optical disc is connected to the air duct in the optical pickup via a tube, at least part of the tube being deformable. The optical pickup is cooled by the air flow through the air duct induced by pressure difference.

摘要： An optical disc apparatus capable of reducing looseness vibrations resulting from a gap between a sub-guide shaft and a bearing is provided. According to an optical disc apparatus in the present invention, both ends of the sub-guide shaft are supported by being sandwiched between a pair of support parts formed in a chassis and a pair of pressing members mounted on the chassis. The support part is formed by bending a protruding portion both protruding in an inward direction of a hole from an edge of the hole of the chassis and extending along the direction perpendicular to the sub-guide shaft.

摘要： An optical disc drive includes a rotation device that rotates an optical disc in a clockwise direction when an upper surface of the optical disc is viewed, a disc mounting portion for mounting of the optical disc thereon has a recess portion, and an optical pickup which irradiates a laser beam on a lower recording surface of the optical disc. The disc mounting portion includes a first penetrating opening portion therethrough that extends from a center area of the recess portion to a periphery of the recess portion. The disc mounting portion further includes a single second penetrating opening portion therethrough being provided at a rear of the disc mounting portion and periphery at an upstream side of the clockwise rotating direction with respect to a center line of the first penetrating opening portion extending from a front to the rear of the disc mounting portion.

摘要： An optical disc drive, comprising: a housing; a tray for transferring an optical disc, having a disc mounting portion for mounting the optical disc thereon, and being movable into an inside and a front of the housing; a motor for rotationally driving said optical disc; an optical pickup, having one or more of laser diode(s) for generating a laser beam for conducting recording/reproducing of information onto/from the optical disc, and for irradiating the laser beam upon the optical disc; and a first penetrating hole, for letting the rotation device and the laser beam passing therethrough, being provided within the disc mounting portion and also in rear of said disc mounting portion, on the tray, wherein a second penetrating hole is further provided in rear of the disc mounting portion, in an upstream side of rotating direction of the optical disc than the first penetrating portion, and the second penetrating portion is larger in area than a total of area(s) obtained by projecting the laser diode(s) onto the optical disc, or a protuberance is further provided in an upper side of the tray, within an upstream side of rotation of the optical disc than the second penetrating portion.
